I know of some people who used the paid Moderna shots from ICTSI/solaire as a booster dose.
They already got their covid vaccine from their LGU but since they already prepaid daw for the Moderna shots they used it as a booster dose.
They got it less than 6 months from their 2nd dose coming from the LGU.
Plus they got the 2 doses of moderna as booster!
Grabe daw yung side effect dun sa 2nd dose.
They had to lie to HCW when asked if they already had a covid vaccine, since this was done last month before any mandate from the DOH with regards to the booster dose.

Whether may side effect and how bad it is on the 2nd Moderna dose really depends on the individual siguro.

I just had my 2nd dose of Moderna last week and it was just like the 1st dose. I only felt some irritation on the vaccinated deltoid and was tired. I did not get sick nor had any chills or whatever. After three days, back to absolute normal. Baka tubig ang tinurok, hahahaha.

Now fully vaxxed and even if late, okay lang and I have at least 6 months before any booster shot is needed, if ever.

By that time, science may have other alternatives already and/or additional information. Who knows baka by that time wala na rin itong bangungot na ito.

Astrazeneca recipients urged to get other vaccine brand as booster shot | Inquirer News

Individuals who got Astrazeneca’s COVID-19 vaccines and who are now eligible for booster shots, like healthcare workers, were advised by an infectious disease expert to use vaccines from other brands due to a possible drop in efficacy if the same brand is used.

During the Town Hall meeting on COVID-19 boosters hosted by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, Dr. Edsel Salvana said there is a theoretical risk about such scenarios because pre-formed antibodies might make it impossible for the adenovirus inside the booster shot to transmit its viral material into the cell.

Salvana, who is part of the DOH’s Technical Advisory Group (DOH-TAG), said that there is no safety risk with taking a third Astrazeneca dose, as the concerns lie on whether a third dose would actually be beneficial for those whose primary vaccines were also Astrazeneca.

“There is a theoretical risk that if you get a third dose of Astra, your body already has pre-formed antibodies against that third dose. There is one study that says that this doesn’t seem to be the case, it’s really more of a theoretical risk […] From a safety standpoint there doesn’t seem to be any problem with the third dose of Astra,” Salvana said.

“The question then becomes efficacy, because if people make antibodies to the ChAdOx carrier — to the Adenovirus carrier — by the third dose, those might be significant and hindi na made-deliver no’ng adenovirus carrier no’ng viral material into the cell so that it can induce an immunogenic (response),” he added.
