Haller to the two of you, bhoybs & ulysees.

San juan land area 5.95 km2 (2.30 sq mi)

    Tingnan nyo saan condominum jan

Sa n.domingo corner broadway avenue at yung sa little baguio terraces, quadrillion mansion.

Hindi pa kasali jan yung ginagawa sa m.paterno mango tree condo at sa pinaglabanan. Imagine dikit-dikit

And the dreaded granada street barangay valencia tapos papunta crame bakit pinayagan jan super chokepoint.

Way back ko pa ito pinupuna waley pa covid. Kitang-kita naman sino cities minamalas ngayon pandemic.

HK creates an artificial scarcity of land since their government is funded through the lease of land. They have mountains of land they are not leasing out in order to keep land values up which in turn causes sky high house prices.

We on the other hand build dont physically have space. San Juan’s space is taken up by villages, leaving the rest in high rise condos or tall townhouses.

so whether it's artificial scarcity or natural scarcity, the tendency is to go vertical

What im trying to point out is to control population ng NCR. Para sa iba lugar na maluwag ang idevelop.

Kung wala ka matitirhan eh di wala madadagdag na tao.

Compare the land area & population of hongkong at NCR.

NCR, The region encompasses an area of 619.57 square kilometers (239.22 sq mi) and a population of 13,484,462 as of 2020.

Hongkong, With over 7.5 million residents of various nationalities[e] in a 1,104-square-kilometre (426 sq mi)

    Better comparison is Tokyo

13.96M people in 2194 sq km

    Much better transit system though

And the Covid situation is also not great

But South Dakota’s covid situation is terrible, even if they have so much more space

Density has little to do with it

Maybe create another artificial land on Manila Bay to create an extension of NCR.

    from what i remember,
the first time they did it, very few were willing to take a gamble. SM did.
now, my guess is, if they do it again, pag-aawayan na yan.

True. like singapore. small island state quite packed in some area but ably managed yung covid pandemic.
South Dakota is probably a republican dominated state. Lots of freedom willing individuals who don't wear mask and refuse to be vaccinated.

Paano yung sa SINOVAC, SINOPHARM or SPUTNIK???

In individuals who had not previously been infected with SARS-CoV-2, a single dose of either the Pfizer or the AstraZeneca vaccine induced a barely detectable level of neutralizing antibodies against the Delta variant. About 10% of the sera neutralized this variant. However, a two-dose regimen generated high sero-neutralization levels against the Alpha, Beta and Delta variants in individuals sampled at week 8 to week 16 after vaccination. Levels of neutralizing antibodies are highly predictive of immune protection from symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection25. A recent report analysing all sequenced symptomatic cases of COVID-19 in England was used to estimate the effect of vaccination on infection26. Effectiveness was notably lower for the Delta variant than for the Alpha variant after one dose of the AstraZeneca or the Pfizer vaccine. The two-dose effectiveness against the Delta variant was estimated to be 60% and 88% for the AstraZeneca and the Pfizer vaccine, respectively26. Our neutralization experiments indicate that antibodies elicited by the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are efficacious against the Delta variant, but about three- to fivefold less potent than they are against the Alpha variant. There was no major difference in the levels of antibodies elicited by the Pfizer or the AstraZeneca vaccines.

There were plans in Manila to reclaim parts of manila bay. It was in the news a few years back. I think it is on hold due to the Chinese company that was supposed to be awarded the contract plus the effect of the pandemic.

Talk about priorities. And the nation's "vaccine expert" is busy building monuments instead of getting more vaccines.

[OPINION] A memorial for fallen frontliners is not a bad thing. The timing is.
