Alam ko last year the mall operators reduced their rental fee for their tenants. Hindi ko lang alam if until now ganun pa rin.

There's this Kidzoona concession that just opened Nov-Dec 2019 in a mall near us that closed down in March 2020 and never opened again (but the sign and stuff they have is still inside), the Kuya Jays restaurant a few shops away still has a birthday sign and some deflated balloons of the last birthday event they hosted right before the lockdown of March 2020 and till now remains padlocked. Recently the Gerry's Grill 2 floors up also closed shop. Looks so sad.

Also some indoor kids playground similar to active fun or smaller looks very sad nowadays. Even in Festival Mall's indoor theme park that was attractive way back before pandemic, now it's deserted and lifeless.

AFAI can understand it, what happened was that PS-DBM bought PPEs for ALL govrnment agencies including the DOH and government hospitals. Previously local government units and individual agencies procured these "common" items (including bond papers, staplers, folders, logbooks, etc.) but back in the time of PNoy this was found to be a source of corruption with a varied price range. So at least for the common office items only one supplier was the source. Thats why you often see a common/uniform brand of bond paper in government offices. In 2020 this was extended to PPEs.
