Let's see if DOH will be transparent. For now still a rumor from employees. Hehheh.

Remember, some here actually don't like it when there's transparency. They prefer blackouts, I guess.

madali mag salita as a citizen

pag ikaw ang gobyerno you're concerned about order

mahirap pag nag panic mga tao

the last thing you want is anarchy in the streets, looting etc

It's a delicate balancing act, and I don't envy the government's job. They don't want people to panic. I get that. That's one side of the coin. The other side is how is a citizen to practice "social distancing" if he does not know what places to "avoid" because government is withholding vital inofrmation? The virus is easily spread, and if citizens will just go about their merry way as if everyone's NOT infected, the outbreak will be more severe as more and more people get infected and pass it on unwittingly.

DOH bares 2 new COVID-19 cases, including first local transmission | News | GMA News Online

The Philippines has recorded two more cases of novel coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19), bringing the total number to five, the Department of Health (DOH) announced Friday.

One of the two cases was a local transmission, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

At a press briefing, Duque said the two new cases were a 48-year-old male Filipino with a travel history from Japan and a 62-year-old male Filipino in San Juan with no travel history. —KBK, GMA News

one possible reason why the government wants to keep certain information secret,
is that the citizen tend, sometimes, to act like headless chickens.

The 5th case is known to have regularly visited a Muslim prayer hall in San Juan City. Previous visitors to the prayer hall who are presenting fever and/or respiratory symptoms are encouraged to call the DOH Hotline (02)86517800 loc 1149-1150 for proper referral |

Is this the prayer hall in the UNIMART Parking Building?

Also the fifth case is a 62 year old male suffering severe pneumonia said to be a vendor in a shopping center in San Juan City.

just finished watching DOH press briefing.. one reporter asked if the 5th patient came from Cardinal before transferring to RITM. Duque responded saying "we cannot give you that information".

Ortigas owns the Greenhills shopping area but the Ayalas are their key investors. Based on what I heard, Ortigas has not much funds to develop and improve the area, thus the Ayalas offered to help.
