Magaling talaga si Presdu. Dalawang foreigners nagka Wuhan virus after visiting Philippines.
Mukhang ma travel ban na rin Philippines sa ibang bansa. Petri dish ng Wuhan virus ang Pilipinas.
With all the Chinese here kalat na yan dito.
Dutiti admin is not covering it up in fairness, incompetent lang talaga sa pag handle ng Wuhan virus

Consequence ng CoVId... not enough ships...
COVID-19: Global trade via shipping badly affected, says UNCTAD
LBC package still stuck in the SFO warehouse...At the same time, the ratio of missed port calls (When a vessel does not reach a port as scheduled) rose sharply to levels usually seen in late February and March.
The report added that cancellation of such calls at ports by ships was happening not just in China but across the world since the country was so central to the movement of goods worldwide.

Same thing with Diamond Princes, the Grand Princess aka SS Princess Petri Dish part 2 has over 500 Filipino crew
Coronavirus test kits flown to cruise ship idled off San Francisco - Reuters
520 Filipino crew aboard cruise ship held off in California due to suspected COVID-19 | ABS-CBN NewsCoronavirus test kits were delivered at sea on Thursday to an ocean liner barred from returning to port in San Francisco after at least 35 people developed flu-like symptoms aboard the vessel, which has been linked to two other confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Two passengers who traveled on the same ship on a voyage last month between San Francisco and Mexico later fell ill and tested positive for the coronavirus. Health officials say they probably contracted the illness aboard the vessel.
One, an elderly man from Placer County near Sacramento with underlying health conditions, died this week, the first documented coronavirus fatality in California. The other, from the Bay area, was described by Newsom as gravely sick.
Some 520 Filipino crew members were among thousands stranded on a cruise ship off California due to suspected cases of the novel coronavirus, their local recruitment firm said Thursday.

"Ok everyone take a deep breath again. We've been here before where people start panicking and yelling before we know all the facts. We need evidence, not accusations. We need epidemiologic tracing, not shotgun testing. Here is what we know:
1. An Australian woman tested positive for COVID-19 and she had a travel history from the Philippines. We have no idea what the timelines are, if she stayed here for a long time or just transited, or if she came from somewhere else.
2. A Taiwan man who tested positive also came from the Philippines. We have a little bit more detail about him from official sources, but we need some more data on whether he traveled elsewhere and if he was sick before that."

"6. IF it is proven to originate from here, then it would be a fairly recent introduction because we have not seen big clusters of severe pneumonia. Remember that 20% of COVID19 cases end up in the hospital, and we have not seen large scale unexplained pneumonia admissions at this time."

New COVID-19 test kits used to screen swab samples collected at Singapore checkpoints - CNA
SINGAPORE: Newly developed COVID-19 test kits will be used to test swab samples collected at Singapore’s checkpoints from Thursday (Mar 5), promising results within three hours.
A collaboration between the Home Team Science & Technology Agency (HTX) and Veredus Laboratories, the HTX COVID-19 test kit has an accuracy of more than 99 per cent and is able to test for a result in three hours, said HTX in an information sheet.
Hypersensitive China got triggered again. And they still don't get what the world is angry at them for. Always the self-righteous schmuck.
My thoughts --
Why should USA apologize? Did USA keep the existence of the 2009 virus a secret and just revealed it to the world when they could not contain it whtihin their borders anymore? That is China's biggest crime against humanity, not only to the Chinese people -- keeping the Wuhan virus under wraps for weeks because their hold on power over all of the Middle Kindgom depends on keeping their own people in the dark 100% of the time. These power hungry vultures should be executed.
And by the way, a lot of internet sources out there, including WHO, actually traces the origins of the 2009 virus to Mexico. So why indeed ask USA to apologize, Mr. Chinese Minister? Go knock on Mexico's door.

It's like the 2nd quarter into the event. Most businesses that rely in volume sales may not survive the end game.
Thailand's tourism industry hit hard by COVID-19 - CNA
in my opinion,
the person who should apologize, is the person/country who intentionally made it, and the person/country who intentionally let it loose upon humankind.
beyond these two, everyone else is a victim.
Limited coronavirus testing in the US has meant its death rate appears alarmingly high — but it will likely drop - Business Insider
Based on the ratio of confirmed deaths to reported cases, 5.4% of patients have died. That's far higher than the global rate of 3.4% that World Health Organization reported on Tuesday — and even higher than mainland China's 3.7%.
Only the Philippines has a higher coronavirus death rate than the US, and that's because it has only had three cases. One of them, a man from Wuhan, China, became the first known fatality outside China in early February.
It's highly unlikely that the coronavirus is more deadly in the US; rather, the number is a product of limited testing in the country.
So the true numbers will come out next week...

WHO | Influenza-like illness in the United States and Mexico
"The Government of Mexico has reported three separate events. In the Federal District of Mexico, surveillance began picking up cases of ILI starting 18 March. The number of cases has risen steadily through April and as of 23 April there are now more than 854 cases of pneumonia from the capital. Of those, 59 have died. In San Luis Potosi, in central Mexico, 24 cases of ILI, with three deaths, have been reported. And from Mexicali, near the border with the United States, four cases of ILI, with no deaths, have been reported."
RE: Mons' post
yup that's my point yesterday
kaya if you want a more credible number of infected in the US, extrapolate from the number of deaths
compute backwards
though the 3.4% fatality rate is in question
SK's fatality rate is much lower coz they do so much testing
yup"6. IF it is proven to originate from here, then it would be a fairly recent introduction because we have not seen big clusters of severe pneumonia. Remember that 20% of COVID19 cases end up in the hospital, and we have not seen large scale unexplained pneumonia admissions at this time."
kung madami na corona19 cases dito sa Pinas, kahit itago ng gobyerno ang totoong number ng nag-positive, di nila matatago pag madami nagkaka severe pneumonia showing up at hospitals
