Italy’s Elderly Suffer Heavy Toll as Coronavirus Spreads - The New York Times
Italy’s mortality rate in the outbreak, about 3.5 percent, is not much above the global average of 3.4 percent reported by the World Health Organization. But the virus is taking a disproportionate toll on the elderly in Italy, which has the oldest population in Europe, and the second-oldest in the world after Japan.

yan naman dapat. Limit the infomration sa public.
Eh hindi lahat dapat malaman. Kaka-inform ayan puro panic. Mass hysteria. Uubusin laman ng supermarket. BUhay kanya-kanya. Swapangan.
Sabi ko nga sa inyo eh presdu administration eh model government sa covid-19 virus.
so kung ayaw nyo icredit si presdu eh pagdasal nyo na wala pa local transmission sa pinas because of the hot weather.
Pero if meron na local na nahawa or namatay at tinatago information eh job well done. Tuloy lang buhay/patay walang takutan.
The point = ano mangyayari if malaman nyo meron na namatay? Makakatulong ba yan sa inyo?
Hehehe... para sa mga galit so China. Sowing the seeds...
China's coronavirus death toll surpasses 3,000
But the quarantine and other travel restrictions across the country appear to be paying off, with official figures showing a generally steady drop in new cases in recent weeks.
But China is now worried about importing cases from abroad as the virus has since spread to some 80 countries and territories, infecting more than 10,000 and killing more than 200 abroad. – Rappler.com

pansin mo once nag umpisa tumaas ang number of deaths that means the virus has been spreading in a city for a while na
it takes 2 to 3 weeks from initial infection to severe symptoms to hospitalization/ICU/death
ung mga deaths tip of the iceberg lang
sigurado madami symptomatic that are not severe enough to go to hospital
and sigurado mas madami pa asymptomatic or with mild symptoms lang

Ignorance is bliss? What you don't see or know won't hurt you, sir? That your motto? If the Church you go to mass to suddently had 1 or 2 cases it's OK if that info is kept from you, and you still go about your merry way of going to mass every Sunday in that Church? Bring your family along the ride too, and soon the whole family's sick because you were not given the information in a timely manner.Where have you been living all these years?
After the Diamond Princess quarantine fiasco, another SS Princess Petri Dish has been pinpointed after the first LA death was a passenger of the cruise ship...
The seeds have been sown long ago...
Coronavirus: Californian who died likely got it on Princess Cruise
Thousands of people on Princess Cruises' Grand Princess may have been exposed to coronavirus after sailing with 62 passengers who company officials say had previously been on a voyage with a man who eventually died from the virus.
A 71-year-old man from California died from coronavirus after sailing on the Grand Princess on a cruise from San Francisco that visited Mexico from Feb. 11 through Feb. 21. Health officials in Placer County, where the man died, said he was "likely exposed" to the virus on board the Grand Princess.
