^Must be the viral load. I also heard before na kailangan mataas ang viral load required for genome sequencing.

sa PCR test -- they use a heating-cooling process called thermal cycling para madetect ang dna/rna fragments (each cycles amplifies viral dna/rna hanggang maging detectable)

the process is repeated 20 to 40 times

if it takes only 20 cycles to detect virus fragments, it means there's high viral load

if it takes 40 cycles to detect, it means very low viral load

labs have a cutoff (cycle threshold) to determine kung positive o negative ka -- depende sa lab meron hanggang 35, meron hanggang 40

isang characteristic ng DELTA variant infection is high viral load

if a sample took only 20 cycles to get a positive result, suspicious yan... maari delta yan... so candidate yan for sequencing

Mayor Isko is well informed ha... either he reads a lot or he has knowledgeable people advising him

Covid lang yan, iniba lang nila ang pangalan so as to keep the Fear Factor ongoing...

doc, kaya hindi ako automatic na bilib basta sinabing doctor. I am very picky with my doctors kasi may mga doctor na katulad ni VM Mali mali pa kinakalat na information

I think Isko learned it from others or he reads up on covid. I could see that the way he manages the city is very academic. He applies what he learned in school

UK hits highest rate of daily COVID cases in world

But as measures ease, the UK reported there were 47,848 new coronavirus cases on Sunday – the highest number of new infections that day of any country in the world, according to Our World In Data.

The figure is a 1,087% increase since 28 May, when the UK reported just 4,030 new cases.

The increase has been attributed to the Delta virus variant, first detected in India, which continues to spread across England.

England's coronavirus lockdown measures were eased on Monday, with nightclubs, theatres, pubs and restaurants now able to reopen without any caps or restrictions.
i am guessing the UK might be the next hot spot in the upcoming months.

Is Delta more deadly than previous versions of the COVID virus?
    It depends.
In the UK the covid case fatality rate or CFR has been reduced in order of magnitude, from 2% to 0.16%.

bumaba ang case fatality rate (CFR) coz the most vulnerable in the UK are already vaccinated

Medyo huli ako sa balita pero bakit big deal yung delta? Is it because it's highly transmissible OR deadly OR BOTH? I attend online mass daily and that is included na sa prayers yung wag kumalat delta variant

Sa UK naman nag clubbing na sila at the strike of midnight

Question, OK lang ba magtake ng pain relievers like ibuprofen or aspirin two days before your scheduled 2nd shot vaccine?

Ok lang, if it's for pain relief rather than to reduce a fever. But if you think you caught the covid virus and using it to reduce the fever, i suggest to contact the vaccination hotline and tell them your predicament. They might ask to delay the 2nd dose until after the infection subsides.
AFAIK. the only thing they are asking is no alcohol after The Sputnik V vaccine.
Some LGU's even give you free paracetamol to drink to lessen the side effect of the vaccine.
They ask you to take it after the vaccination process.

So which nation's economy is being destroyed now? Yung mga dating hirap lalong naghirap. Most rich nations are already in the process of recovery. Si China, mas lumakas pa yata ang export during the pandemic. Japan, nagkukulang ng chips because of high demand. Major businesses in the US lumakas din during this time like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, etc.
