^resonator changes the sound of the engine exhaust

instead of hearing BANG BANG BANG because the fuel in the engine detonates several times per second

you hear a more subdued tone or burbling drone

it should not be mistaken with a muffler because that one has a different function

fitting a resonator to suit kagalingan's fancy of course doesn't come cheap

because you have to alter the sound wave by carefully shaping the exhaust
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

Something fishy daw is going on. I'm worried talaga about the VP race.

    a. because there's such as thing as two stroke engines :P

    b. because lower displacement engines tend to produce high pitch, the "perceived" noise is louder and harsher(but in reality the sound pressure dB is much lower compared to large displacement engines that growl)

    c. because not everybody can afford high end motorcycles that actually put to mind "comfort" with carefully engineered and tuned resonators that make it sound "pleasing" whereas other motorcycles are either built for practicality or performance

    d. because physics

in the event that you ban motorcycles that do not qualify to your liking, you have undoubtedly alienated a vast swath of the population. Most of whom depend on these for their livelihoods.

Precisely. Ergo: Goodbye Harley. Unless they allow the fitment of aftermarket mufflers to quiet them down.

    -

Mind you, I am not against imposing sound limitations on vehicles. But, as ever, these limitations must have concrete guidelines that are easy to follow.

Just like in the USA and Japan. Strict 96 (or whatever) db limit. Tapos! Then charge people for testing and/or certification. That way, you can still support local aftermarket sellers, installers and even product developers, while satisfying the need to curb sound pollution.

Can even spur a cottage industry for aftermarket mufflers that make bikes quieter.

    -

But then, our government doesn't know jack-**** about mufflers or muffler designs. Or HIDs. Or LED lights. Or anything to do with motorized transport...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ok im starting a little bit to understand your argument and dynamics about small motorcycle. ( a tiny motorcycle crawling at 20 to 30 kph but sounds like 80 to 100kph)

But we need a common ground.

The duterte administration says No noise pollution at 10pm. The next nuisance after videoke are this scooters, tricycles.

If i remember correctly former congressman mikey arroyo filed a bill in congress about this.

Yes i know majority of people depend on this for their livelihood but not at the expense of irritating sleeping people who also need uninterrupted sleep.

Not all people live in secluded village where everyday is like good friday. So the 10pm No noise pollution are also for the majority just like the small motorcylce owners.

    ---

We will not have progress if the majority are always cuddled. Some of the jeepney driver association do not want change from dilapidated diesel to electric. This are also compose of the majority.

Sa thread ng 2016 presidential election meron ako post about sa sogo/novotel at 3 sd card "inadvertently" thrown away in Kabangcalan confirmed by comelec.

Whew. Thanks for clarifying Atty 👊

I wonder where macsd is. I guess still celebrating that Pnoy's manok lost.

CPP is reported to be considering forwarding their nominees for the DAR, DSWD, DENR and DOLE posts. If some news are reliable, they won't be endorsing communist members but known progressives.

Some are hailing Digong's move as brilliant, while others say he's mad.

I think he's being irresponsibly melodramatic.

Political utang na loob. Mark Villar's DPWH appointment has conflict of interest all over it. His Dad was accused by fellow senators for using his position to sidetrack a road project through Villar property development.... "Change isn't coming"

Taking from the entry of bro.leonleon:
Reelected Las Pinas Rep. Mark Villar on Tuesday said he has accepted the offer of presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte to be his public works secretary.
In a statement, Villar, the son of former Speaker, senator and housing magnate Manuel “Manny” Villar Jr., said he has accepted the offer after consulting with his family.

Still haven't heard him say about vehicles parked along streets.

And it would be fun to watch how he will have ERAP arrested dahil pag wala daw ginagawa mayor about videoke, curfew and public drinking. Dami sa tondo ah.

Suspension or arrest for ERAP?political will?

trabaho ni meyor, 'kamo? he has shown in-ability to effect it. so where do we citizens go to complain?

Ganun ka-simple yan.

Sa mga losers sa manok, well, we have until June 30, 2016 to lament on what might have been. July 1, 2016 siyempre unity na dapat angibabaw, no choice na yan. That is the right thing to do.

    IMHO lang naman.

    As Atty. JM said;

PGong has already extended his in reconciliation, then why the hell these ass holes continue the bloodletting?

PGong already wanted sanity to come back and offered his hand for the sake of unity, his rabid supporters should follow suit.
PGong supporters should follow their idol right?

Listening to radio reports... The Mayor's first choice for finance turned down the offer. They'll to make the offer to Lance Gokongwei. But given the choice to divest all his shares and the head ache that goes with it, I'm sure Lance will also turn it down too.
