I wonder if there will still be any persons from the previous Admin that he would consider.

Pls expound on "not exactly morally upstanding"--- more of trapo, or more in the "hayden kho" sense? :D

Tuition fees are always touchy. Because the law forces schools to dedicate a certain percentage of tuition to teacher salaries, increases naturally become bigger... or you have to cover additional fees with an increasingly large "miscellaneous".

The government should let the free market dictate tuition completely. It might even be possible to lower them if they simply let them find their natural level.

    -

I think it's important for the Dep Ed and CHED secretaries to come from privately-owned private schools catering to the middle and lower-middle class, and not the religious schools or La Salle.

The secretaries coming from the exclusive or rich schools, and those coming from the religious (no taxes, thank you!) schools don't understand the struggles of private school owners or of poorer students.

    -

Hell... give it to the communists. Basta wala silang say sa curriculum.

    Big Question:

Will Mark Villar divest himself of shares in his own companies, as well?

Aren't they supposed to do it when they entered politics?

I dont like villar as DPWH sec but still will give him benefit of the doubt but we have to be vigilant. Meanwhile tumaas ang VLL shares because of the news that villar will be dpwh sec, I failed to anticipate such scenario, di tuloy nakabili.

Im for Dr Padilla, shes the founder of eye bank foundation here and it is really good that well have again a practicing doctor as DOH head hindi yung more of politician than clinician. If I remember it right, she was also very vocal before against FPJ when he ran as president way back 2004.

Btw, who will replace Abaya? That guy (or girl) will get the public attention more than anyone else in the succeeding months. Let see if he solves MRT, NAIA and LTO. If he does not by 2017, better resign.

Benefit of the doubt for villar at DPWH? Don't hold your breath please.

As I've said lahat ng major road projects dadaan sa development Nila. If not they'll be the first developer in a certain area where there will be planned roads

si digong ba nagsabi na paghihiwalay niya ang depts na hahawak sa respective transportation at communication issues at policies?

so far mukhang flexible si president-in-waiting considering he softened his stance on the planned abolition of the k to 12 education system he was espousing about during his campaign. nabasa ko na hindi niya na itutuloy ang pagbaklas ng siste na 'to pagkatapos niya daw maka-usap iyong isang jesuit friend niya.

he has also confirmed that he will be retaining the economic policies of the outgoing admin (pretty much the same tactic aquino used in adapting the basic ideas of arroyo's economic ground rules)

tapos kanina lang sabi niya follow through niya muna iyong unclos arbitration case vs china bago siya makipag-engage sa bilateral talks. siyempre medyo lumambot din siya pagkatpos siya tawagan at i-charm ni obama

medyo far cry ito sa kagawiran niya kasi naalala ko sa 9 years ko na tumira sa davao city, talagang pig headed siya. the policy was it's my way or the high-way dati

It's too late to kill K-12. Students have already enrolled. Colleges have already trimmed down in anticipation of the four or five lean years ahead. Teachers have already retrained themselves. Emergency 11-12 high schools have already been built.

A lot of businesses and students will suffer if you pull the plug now.

If Digong can change his mind... hopefully he'll reconsider some of his appointments.

The Philippines is only one of three countries still using the 10 years curriculum. Some people are forced to take additional 2 years in high school abroad because some foreign colleges require the 12 years curriculum

Exactly what I've been saying. Being a president is a lot different from a mayor.

Puro compromise diyan lahat ng interest kailangan i-balance.

Saka niya makikita yun mga promises niya Hinde feasible pag siya na nakaupo. Dahil during campaign Kaya malakas loob mangako dahil Hinde talaga niya nakikita pa yun while picture.
