Any shop should be able to isolate the noise problem, but since you are the user you should also make a good judgement based from observations. A DIY would greatly help.
Check OAP - Overruning Alternator Pulley, my 1st symptoms were like small squeal then after some time it went louder. You may check a failing OAP using Voltmeter, if charging drops during the sound then its a sliding OAP. Also, drivebelts must be within recommended tension as specified on manual.
