Sir malaki ba sira nung plastic part?

Ddnt notice, yan ba yung brass color? Napansin kolang intact pa yung pcv mo..hehe.. Bka mag remote bypass filter ka na rin ang bagay sau yun racing filter like this http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlook...sp?Part=51515R

How about fabricating a box so that it will not draw hot air from engine bay?

work-in-progress yan sir - around 70% done. yun nga lang, yun last 30% finishing na, dun ako madalas magtagal. from my testing hot air is not an issue, i'm doing the box to control the noise somewhat

    * dadz: yes sir ganda tunog! medyo intrusive nga lang. relax-mode driving is not an option anymore

ma'am (assume ko lang po mam from your handle), i suggest you stick with casa for now that your nav is still relatively new. i don't want to speak in general terms, pero minsan may lumalabas na sakit ang nav na pwede maremedyohan naman under warranty. some of these parts will be a bit expensive if you are gonna shoulder them yourself. this is because if you don't take it to casa for regular pms you're most likely getting turned down from your warranty claim. the first thing that nissan factory will ask for are your service records from your casa. if you don't have these, there's no point to even ask them to at least take look at your unit, because they just won't.

take it from me ma'am. i almost spent 150k on a new turbo.

+1 on having pms in casa while the unit is still under warranty. after, pwede na pa service at a talyer you trust. but i think i would still have my further pms at the casa.

sir/mam, imho having your unit serviced sa Casa has its advantage and disadvantage, yes its true that the parts are a bit expensive sa Casa than bu ying it from somewhere else since your 30k pms is a critical period again on your 40k and 60k Pms, if you can spare just a bit more peso, my concern is the warranty claim from your casa since you have a new unit, if something god forbid like a major part of your unit needs to be replaced, if you have skipped the major PMS it would be a problem claiming warranty as some of our members have experienced

the reality is we have to bite the pill, anyway if you have a reputable stealership you can always comeback and complain about everything if its a back job you dont have to pay anything

simple change oil and fluid check can be done on most gas stations if you really want, you can even diy it if you have the time and tools for it

just my 2 cents.. good luck

just make sure the screw will reach the bottom of the slot for proper grounding, otherwise it will affect the reception, got this from Carland in Kamagong st Makati , 600 i think
    Thanks Sir OJ!

Additional request lang mga ka-Navara. Need suggestions for replacement sa stereo head unit ng truck natin?

My Dad was quite disappointed to find out that this thing does not play MP3s or DVDs. I already looked at Pioneer's 3250dvd and 4250dvd the main advantage for us is the bigger screen of the 4250. Budget is a concern around 20k or thereabouts. bluetooth and other like features is not impt. as long as it plays mp3, cd, dvd ok na and also pala a back-up camera will be installed.

We've replaced the front speakers with DLS 269 6x9's and the rears with HiVi (first time I've heared of this brand) 6' co-axials. As this is my Dad's truck primarily so no amps or subwoofers allowed. I tested a Soundstream Picasso PCC6N 6' separates for the front while they sound good we could not get the low frequencies to come out kaya we stuck with the 6x9s.. Now really gusto ko sana ng focal polyglass co-ax 6x9 for the front and 6' for the rears pero wala ako mahanap.

    Hi All,

New to the forum. Need your inputs on my current situation (Aircon problem) for our Nav.

    Summary of the aircon problem.

    -Religious with PMS
-Never cleaned the aircon since we got the truck Dec 09 (SA said they don't advice it yet since the mileage is relatively low)
    -Mileage 40k+
-Aircon has always worked and never failed until last Sunday

    Now down to the details:

-We left for Manila at around 2:30 PM (Aircon working very well)
-Around 6 PM when we reached SCTEX the ambient temp has dropped and the aircon's air flow started degrading little by little
-We stopped at around 730 to grab some snacks (stopped approx 45 min)
-Started the car again airflow was bit better, but the longer we used it the less air came out (air coming out of the vents are still very cold) until it is completely useless.
-You can definitely hear the blower working when you toggle thru different fan speeds
-A few drops of water was present beneath the glove box (I believe this is were the evaporator is situated)
-Stopped using the A/C til the next morning. Worked perfectly well until yesterday.
-Dropped by Nissan's service center to have them diagnose the problem, they said it is due to a dirty evaporator (they tested the evaporator and informed me it passed the leak test but they can't guarantee it will last for long).
-And they advised me to change the evaporator together with the expansion valve, dryer, refrigerant and condenser.
-I will drop by the dealership tomorrow morning to check the status of the evaporator
-I am planning to continue using the old evaporator until it breaks completely.

What are your thoughts? I am bit skeptical on this since the unit is fairly new and I would say the mileage is not that bad. I read through the previous posts in this thread regarding the leaks coming out after cleaning the A/C. All inputs will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ian
