Sir bobcas has the Unichip + methanol (c/o speedlab). Very satisfied naman. Please use the search thread. Di ko lang sure kung sa thread na to o dun sa kabila.
After my warranty expires, balak ko rin sana maglagay ng chip.

Sir tancho_kuhaku, marami pong salamat. Medyo confused lang kasi ako I have seen GLS model damaged on the fender flare side may original na butas sa body for mounting the fender flare.

    No drilling required

sir, ask ko lang.... ok ba yung night breakers pag umuulan?

because Im planning to change mine with either euroline yellows or
    osram nightbreakers.... thank sir!

BTW No Offense sa mga naka HID, speaking of it ok lang sana pag nasa car show ka and the car is on display with 100000k's on it, it is really a definite pogi points. pero wag na sana kapag nasa kalsada because they could really put the lives of people in danger.......I myself encountered instances that I almost bumped the car infront of me because of this HID's...

    just my 2 cents..

im happy to see a lot of new forumers owning the 2009 strada and those who will purchase them soon.

Just a reminder, it's great to have questions posted here, but prior to posting, please search first if the question have been asked in previous page. I know we are on the 369 page and its hard to read all those pages, but you can use the "search" feature of tsikot.

Now, let's get back to topic....with regards to bulbs for the headlight..we will have a new member soon..if i remember correctly, he distributes philips xtreme bulbs (if my memory serves me correct) in the metro..we have met him, but unfortunately, we didnt have the application form ready for him. anyhow, once we meet him next friday, ask namin how much pwede ninya sell yung mga bulbs sa bonified member of this club.

sir locoroco777: totally agree with you sir. our headlight assembly is still not for HID, so sabog pa rin itchura.

sir lamanlasala: sir, for the gls and higher version, meron po tlga hole yung orig fender flare nila... but if glx and gl version, the aftermarket fender flares wala po drilling needed..secure naman po sya. wala pa ako narinig na aftermarket flares coming off sir.

angel007: sir, the bed lid like the panther series is already available here in PI. carryboy supplies that... I just don't know the cost, it was released about two months ago. it's not the perfect match, but something close to it.

Advertisement lang po: i hope the new owners will become full pledge member of the Strada Club soon, so you can experience our get togethers and share thoughts on our ride in person.

this always happens to me nung bago pa yung strada namin....

so what I do is before ako mag down shift I make sure na mababa talaga yung RPM at nakaabang na yung foot ko sa brakes....dahil pag hindi for sure hahatak pa.......and I think that defines the word Low end Torque that is always mentioned when somebody talks about our beloved stradas

Ok naman. A lot better than the stock bulbs. Naka-medium black ang windshield ko. But I guess yellow bulbs perform better in these conditions.

Quoted from Journal online dated October 30, 2008 03:08 PM Thursday.
    It says:

Strada stays as No.1 in pickup category
PICKUP sales continue to be strong as total sales for the month of September reached 925 units which is 12 percent better than August sales. Accordingly, September year-to-date sales now reached 8,431 units which is 41 percent up from the same period last year.

Similar to Thailand, which is the 1-ton pickup capital of the world, pickups particularly double cabs, remain to be popular in this market given its wide range of use whether as an everyday vehicle or for business. Additionally, the new generation pickups have evolve with more advanced features such as powerful common-rail direct-injection diesel engines and safety equipment), better riding comfort, and offer more room for passengers similar to sedans and SUVs.

Mitsubishi Strada continues to dominate the double cab pickup sales with total sales of 1,998 units year to date capturing 24 percent market share, outshining competitive models.

With its fresh and exciting styling, superb running performance, best in class cabin roominess, a comfortable ride and SUV-like interior styling and trim, who will not envy anyone who drives a Mitsubishi Strada?

From the hip and dynamic teens to the classy, young businessmen down to the not so old professionals and those who want to create a statement of fulfillment and almost everyone would love to own a Mitsubishi Strada. The Mitsubishi Strada has captured all ages in the market.

The all-new Strada was built not just as a pickup but also as an everyday work horse vehicle for business, family and recreation. It has the biggest cabin space in its class, passenger car levels of performance, road comfort and handling gives Strada the edge over the competition.

The Strada has strong yet economical direct-injection common-rail intercooled turbo diesel engine which ensures optimum power at all engine speds while providing excellent fuel economy and greatly reducing gas emission through efficient fuel injection. With these features complemented with a gorgeous styling which always gets attention, a car enthusiast would indeed crave to own and drive one. Driving one will also let you experience endless road pleasures.

The Strada is also beyond just good looks but also boasts of having the distinction of being the safest pickup in the market. The Strada scored a respectable 4 stars out of 5 in the Adult Occupant Protection category of both the 2008 European New Car Assessment Program or the Euro NCAP and its Australian counterpart, the ANCAP. In this category, vehicles are tested to check if there is no passenger intrusion in the cabin after a frontal and side collision.

Mitsubishi’s exclusive Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body and frame system greatly enhanced the survivability of its occupants. The RISE frame incorporates front and rear crumple zones with reinforced beams to absorb collision force and direct it away from the vehicle’s interior. Aside from the RISE body, the Strada has dual-stage front SRS airbags and seat belt pretensioners that react instantaneously in the event of a frontal collision and these greatly reduce the chance of passengers being slumped into the steering wheel or dashboard.

electronically operated na din po ba ang accelerator pedal ng new strada??

although wala po ako strada but i think this case happens din sa ibang CRDi engines with manual transmission..

kung electronic na din same po sa kia carens CRDi eh normal po talaga yung naarangkada ng konti yung sasakyan when downshifting.. i don't think its the "low end torque" it just happens the the engine is preventing itself from stalling when you release the clutch (may sensor po kasi sa clutch once it is released) the engine ECU increases the RPM kaya parang naarangkada pa...

try nyo po sa 1st gear release nyo yung clutch without stepping on the gas pedal.. pag malapit na fully released yung clutch the engine RPM will increase, then aandar yung vehicle without the engine struggling unlike sa conventional diesel engine..

Low end torque, I think is not a bad characteristic at all for me and from what I heard and read.

I only used the term because I think that what best describes the matter that happened to me and to you I supposed when were still adjusting on driving our strada although Im not sure if I've used the term correctly

    happy driving!

Throttle (RPM) sticking or revving-up even the accelator is fully released?
sometimes, you almost bumped the car in front of you becoz you're expecting the truck to decelerate but instead it surges forward? hehehe..

sometimes you feel that somebody might think "mabigat and paa mo" because the RPM is sticking or increasing while you step on the clutch to change gears...

strada headlights are the basic H4 lights. if you plan on changing the bulbs, madami off the shelf kasi standard bulb configuration naman ang H4. just make sure you dont get the 90/100 and above bulbs, baka hindi kayanin ng wires, kasi medyo maliit ang wires na ginamit nila. you can extend get the high output bulbs which would dish out 100/110 even if your using 55/60 (parang baliktad yata ang mga wattage ko? oh well) or you can opt to install HID's which a lot of our brothers here have already opted to do, but do remember that going HID WILL VOID YOUR ELECTRICAL WARANTY!!!
