good thing for our stradas, to the untrained eye it would be difficult to know at a glance if the unit is 4x2 or 4x4... just removed the GLX badge hwehehe

maybe a good compromise would be to just install the exterior snorkel but not connect it to anything inside. "props" lang kumbaga. heheh kaso sayang din yung assembly. oh well. :snorkel:

however, they have a readily available (bee-yoo-tee-full!) shiny black GLS 2.5 M/T on display in case you want to check it out. (was super tempted to drive it away na nga kanina, but mas priority ko at this time yung installation ng 2DIN a/v system. will use the savings for mods na lang. )

but on the 2nd thought, i heard that the 2010 facelifted strada in coming real soon (maybe last quarter of 2009..? i hope..) then im willing to wait for another 2-3 months..

no problem bro! btw, i was BORN in cebu, chong hua hospital (can't speak cebuano though 'cause i was raised in manila na)... been there several times last year for a project in ayala lagoon.

<na miss ko tuloy bigla cebu. especially those little riceballs (i think they called it "pu-so" if i remember correctly) they serve with barbeque. and the super fresh seafood! mmmm.

anyhoo, was also considering waiting for the facelifted 2010 variant, but after checking out the photos in the other threads, parang i still prefer the current strada look (with the diagonal grilles, it looks a bit "meaner" imho.)

don't mind not getting the bluetooth unit, because i'm gonna change the HU anyway.

i liked the straighter bed, but i can live with the current curved one too.

also wanted to wait for the unit in sir ian's photo (longbed! ***drool***) but mukhang mahaba-habang hintayan yun.

so, i decided to just grit my teeth and go for the current model. like what our friendly threadmates and strada club masters always say, you can't go wrong naman whatever you go for....basta it's a strada.

yikes, mas mahirap pala maintain ang black? kasi during weekends i usually stay at my shagpad in laguna, but i don't have a garage there so i have to park outside. come monday, my ride usually looks like it either came from a tour of duty in iraq, OR a dip in shrek's swamp, depending on the weekend weather.

so any tips on how to maintain my future black beauty?

was considering getting a car cover but the nearby neighborhood's kinda rough, baka maging bubong lang ng squatter shantee. unless i get a car cover with a lock provision, which i can't find anywhere. kakatakot din yata magasgasan ang paint pag laging tanggal-lagay-tanggal ng cover.

anyway, any maintenance tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
