in addition to what Doc ooba99 and thepatriarch said, the strada is not a perfect vehicle... that is very true! ...And that includes Mitsubishi as a brand!

*docholiday, welcome po...
the 4M41 3.2 first came into existence in 1999 as an "enlarged" version of the 4M40 2.8 with the Gen 3 Pajero was modified to include the Common Rail Direct Injection later (with Variable Geometry Turbo for other markets). The Strada and Montero Sport and recepients of this engine also as mentioned by sir Dadz. Yes, i must say tried and tested ang 4M series engine- just like the 4D56. thanks. looking forward to your new truck po...

well, my unit arrived. i didn't realize the 3.2L came with 6-spoke alloys. i remember seeing a 3.2L with a bit more complicated thin type spokes na parang mga tinidor yung style. it doesn't really matter as the truck came with 17in tires so... and it didn't seem to have an uneven height.
but i did have the sales guy return the thing because he had a hard time with the alarm system and said that the dealership will have to reprogram it in time for a 10am delivery tomorrow.
i got a black unit and i must say that it looks very elegant for a pickup truck. they also reinstalled the tint with a much lighter shade although i still found it a bit dark as compared to my mazda 3. not much i can do in that department as it was their lightest available.
i also told him to double check the ride height left and right to avoid anymore receiving hassles tomorrow.
i felt sorry for the guy as it was his second time to bring the unit to the office but we really have to be anal about these things while we still have a bit of consumer power left.
i hope the transition to driving a pickup won't be so aggravating as i've never driven anything other than a sedan in all my driving life.
excited as hell but nervous at the same time![]()
Congrats bro skippy dont worry for me driving our truck is like driving a large car hehehehehehehe very comfortable siya ang easy to handle.
hi 13thprophet, very very great truck, yummy, just wondering bout your fender flares, bakit puro white na rin yan? pina repaint mo ba? anyway mas gwapo nga e, ok lang ba sayo gayahin namin strada mo? hehe. we have the same unit, ours is just a week old, on sched pa for revision. and another thing, how much yong grill set na ganyan? and saan mo nabili? dami tanong pasensya ka na bro.
thank you
hello sa inyong lahat!
got my strada gls a/t oct 2007, went to sagada right away to break it in.
noticed the squeaky sound on the return trip. turned up the stereo volume, and have not heard it since then...no problem so far with steering, suspension, transmission and uneven heights. am i satisfied after one year of use?
YES ABSOULUTELY!!!

i was in the process of adding something when the one-hour editing grace period ran out on me- pay pinagawa si bossing hehehe....
I have seen the Strength and Weakenesses of the brand and what i do appreciate is that everything has a workaround. It may take some time for some issues to be resolved and to deal with some people with the attitude, but we will be resolved eventually. With this club and the thread, we can talk about it and think of ways to resolve it either on our level or at the dealer and raise an expectation from the dealer. im glad to know that most of the owners here are satisfied with the strada despite the issues... a phenomenon i must say.
Regarding the Squeaky leaf springs, i know of a recently launched pickup that passed in front of me and i heard its squeaky leaf springs too! at least the strada is not alone... hehehe...
*skippy- congrats! im sure the truck will serve you very well!
*dadz, thanks for the informative post about the dashboard lights!
*dosbydos- glad to know your strada is doing well. may i know your truck's mileage po? thanks.
nismo26, ianmitsulancer, dadz: sirs, thank you for your positive comments. i'm very satisfied with my Strada and glad to be part of this community.
silverend: yes, i repainted the fender flares so that it would match the body. i bought the 3-piece billet grill set locally here in Cebu.
guys i need your opinion, we are planning to change our rims and tires kasi naman ewan ko kung bakit nilagyan ng 245/65 H/T tires tong gls sport ng casa to think na 4x4 ito,the 17 inch upgrade to me is pointless.
now we might downgrade to 16 inch rim to match with much wider and thicker A/T tires, perhaps like the first version of gls sport, (at least medyo mura yong gulong if magpapalit na, mahal kasi ng 17 di po ba?,) and hopefully to retain it's height/ground clearance.
can you please suggest what's the best tire brand to have and ideal tire size? is bridgestone really any better than like maxxis, michelin, pirelli etc.? ,kasi ito yong naka kabit originally.
and ma vovoid ba ang warranty? like the suspension. will it compromise handling and FC? dami kong tanong pasensiya na mga bossing.
thank you
IMO, Mickey Thompson is a tried and tested brand. if you plan to downgrade the size of your rims to 16 inches, just make it sure that the specs are the same with the stock rims for the GLS so that the warranty will not be voided. suspension and handling medyo gagaan... and mag-improve ang FC ng konti coz of the lesser weight (unless mas mabigat yung ipapalit mo na rims)
Good morning brothers!!!
share ko lang my experience using the 4L... the truck can go on with out your feet on the gas pedal or on the clutch... i thought this feature was only on the D Max...
in changing tires I would prefer Bridgetone Dueler A/T but since there's a lot of guys using this brand, I might choose Mickey Thompson (gamit ng mga pogi)...... sana lang may pambili
