New Mitsubishi Strada [ARCHIVED]

Great thread everyone! I was supposed to get a hilux 4x2 G but after reading all the great things about the strada, i decided up to pony up some more cash and get the GLS Sport.

I'll be ordering it from the dealer next week and I can't wait to take her out for a spin.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has seen this locally? It's a soft top cover for the bed. I'm definitely interested in getting this.

its indeed very interesting to see something retractable like that! will come in very handy should TALL objects have to be hauled by your Strada.

What i am concerned about will be the Cost, ALL WEATHER & LIFETIME DURABILITY! i hope the canvass won't let water seep in despite weatherprof stripings and it wont suddenly fall apart on high speeds and the canvas will flutter like Superman flying in the sky!

hmmm...diba dapat alam nila ang model name ng car that they are servicing. hehehhe.

Pare..ganda naman estrada mo. pare...its (blank blank blank) Strada!

dapat Triton na lang...meron kasi problem ang ibang pinoy when pronunciating "S".

Back in 2002, my 70 year old tita was on the market for something a bigger than her 4-door sedan. she first thought of the Pajero-Field Master- but it was too expensive for her! Also, the Outlander and Montero Sport were not on sale yet. So I suggested the Strada + canopy! What will I do with a pick-up like the Strada?! she asked. I replied: Uhmmm... put an "E" at the start of the name i suppose... That made her laugh since she was not in favor of the Erap administration. She eventually settled for the Lancer GLS CVT and still happy with it.

The Strada never crossed her mind again from then on... perhaps the Wagon (2008 thai debut of the Triton G-Wagon) version will!

my agent just called me and said that for 2008, the gls sport will have 17 wheels and a jvc audio system.

more importantly, may price increase daw. totoo ba kaya to? or is this just a ploy so that i would order right away and avail of the old price?

JVC? i would prefer a kenwood/pioneer... perhaps any who sees it can perhaps test the unit and see how it performs. better than the current kenwood HU?

i wish the product planners would install the ANTI-TRAP auto up/down power window- at least on the driver side- hindi lang pang euro spec! the outlander has IDEALLY it in all 4 windows!

17" mags? i think it might be the one on the WARRIOR model in the UK Market- my avatar/picture has it... love the design! i was hoping this would be the one equipped in the first place! i first saw this during the 2nd manila int'l motorshow.

but nothing beats seeing the real thing... is it out on the showrooms na?

When I inquired for 2.5GLS sa Marcos Hi-Way Mitsu, sabi nila wala na raw lumalabas na ganito ngayon... puro 3.2 Sports na...

Do you confirm this from other dealers? Sayang naman about 0.7 less displacement for better FC since Ok lang naman sa akin manual.

naka JVC HU yung sa akin.. i compared the sound quality of mine to the Kenwood HU, mas maganda yung sa JVC, para kang may subs kahit wala.. tsaka andun sa right side ng HU yung USB slot, hindi tulad ng Kenwood na nasa loob ng glove box yung USB slot.

Standard na ang ganyang features sa JDM models ng Mitsubishi. So sad, naunahan pa ng [H] ang pag introduce ng ganyang features dito.

Hindi ko lang kasi makita yung thread dito regarding sa fuel consumption ng Strada 3.2 GLS sport. Paki reply nalang po to those who have 3.2L. I'm planning to get one soon. Salamat

Sa akin, 7-8.5 km/L city driving with no passengers, 9.5-11 km/L highway driving with full passenger capacity.

Moxxxs, pwede ba ito sa H4? what type of HID would this be? yung Dual Filament type bulb ba? Eh diba mabagal? parang nag chacharge up pa yung HID pag nag flick ka nung bright?

I was told by Xenon Bulbs na meron sila H4 na low and high both HID. Havent tried it though so havent seen it if mabagal pag nag flick ka ng pass light. Probably, magchacharge pa nga sya kasi ng HID pa so mabagal ang effect. Parang balewala rin. That is why, IMHO, impractical at hindi advisable na ang High beam mo ay HID rin + pag naka high beam ka naman halos wala ng pinagkaiba sa HID in terms of reach ng beam.

Sir ianmitsulancer, magandang suggestion yan.....Strada Fun Run to Baguio City. 3 days - 2 nights. Tapos mga Strada owner's from Baguio ang sasagot ng bawat meal (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Kami na po bahala sa accomodation kasi nakakahiya naman kung nakikikain na nga kami tapos makikitulog pa.

Yup. I backed out sir. Nahiya ako magpa-baby sit sa organizer in case I get stuck and need to be winched out since it was a family affair pala. They held 4x4 clinics last year which I was also not able to attend. Im sure this year meron pa rin since they are hell bent on promoting 4x4s here.

Early December last year, I posted that I went to Miggyboy to have my strada installed with several accessories as they advertise in their website. Pinakyaw daw ng isang dealer from Visayas and Mindanao.

Called up Miggyboy yesterday afternoon and inquired if their new stocks of accessories for the strada had already arrived. Sabi wala pa daw. Sa February na daw ang dating. Oh man, bare pa rin strada ko. But still I'm enjoying it.
