If I wanted to talk about topspeed, I've driven both to 180kph and both could still pull some more but I wasn't dumb enough to dare going beyond my "S" rated tires (max allowable speed of 180kph only, that's why I'm laughing at santa fe owners with stock S rated tires who drive beyond 180kph). So, at topspeed, it would be about even. The debate would be on how fast the vehicle can reach 180kph from a standing start and a moving start.

My feeling is my everest would be faster from a moving start while my strada would be faster from a standing start, but this is only subjective (even a manual timer would be inaccurate). If I had the 3.2 strada, like yours, then it would be a different story. Or if the 3.0 everest had the M/T. It's quite difficult to compare, actually.

To really determine the fastest, wouldn't it be nice to see a race among the current pick-ups, 3.0 dmax, 3.0 hi-lux, 3.2 strada, 3.0 ranger, and 2.5 navarra? But, wouldn't it also be stupid at the same time? (they ain't racecars but some owners think they are)

Fedor, BTW, in hill climbs, my everest is definitely faster (talisay to tagaytay, A/T lever at D2 when incline is steep).
    Well said... hehehehehehe
It's really stupid to race these trucks

    peace

To those who had their steering columns changed already under warranty.. Drave, guy^, wally etc.. can you describe the clicking or "lagutok" sound more in detail? is it like a clunking sound whenever you turn your steering? is it only when slowly maneuvering like say in a parking lot? I can sort of hear something in mine pero sa unang kabig ko lang and i think its coming from the right side. For example in the morning when I'm about to leave the house for work may tutunog bigla. but after that wala na. I even tried slowly going around and around like a zigzag in our warehouse pero hindi ko na ulit siya marinig. ganun din ba sa inyo?

Subject: Maximum Biodiesel Blend for Strada

    Dear sirs,
I would like to know if the current stradas can take the biodiesel blends right now in the pumps. I have not seen mitsubishi phils publishing a doc that says stradas can take biodiesel blend schedules based on the biofuels law. 1% currently might not harm the engine, but will 20% be still acceptable for the stradas to handle?
BTW, thanks for the earlier replies to my queries, it makes me more confident as to what tires I can buy as replacement for the stock tires that will come with the GLX im about to purchase.
I apologies though for not being able to show up at the EB, Im sure you had a good time.
    thanks and Godspeed

Mine never had the "lagutok" sound that one would hear but more "lagutok" feel. I didn't feel it during turning but on slow straight driving at medium sized bumps.

Louchua, there's no accurate description, but, if you tell that to your dealer, they would know what to do. The steering column should be replaced and not repaired only.

After I had mine replaced, I never experienced it again. They said that the later models' steering columns have already been modified.

Problema kasi, ganadong-ganado akong bilhin yung strada . Dapat pala, kung may all-new model, kahit anong brand, wait muna for review .

Tapos, lumabas pa yung 3.2, haaay nakuuuu.....

Thanks Drave.. yeah probably a good idea to have it checked by Casa. I'm approaching 10,000 kms so will have it checked on my next PMS.

I felt the same when I got my Strada.. Super excited although I was able to read a few reviews from early buyers like you here at tsikot, timing lang na after I got mine tsaka lumabas mga sakit.. and the 3.2L of course.

thank God service was quick. i got it in at around 8.30am and it was out by 4.30pm.... they said the VALVE KIT was defective... what??? in a brand new vehicle??? anyway they had it replaced and all is fine now... actually feel the engine is stronger and faster, which got me thinking that the VALVE KIT was defective from the moment i got it out. Because before i had it checked, the engine made funny sounds, like it wasn't getting enough fuel or something, at high engine speeds which i discarded to be normal. that's gone...

    anyone else experienced this????

mine is actually a GLX, but i think it looks better than most GLS's running around here in CEBU... if you wanna check it out here's a picture...

Welcome to the club! I don't know if you have read my previous post regarding engine lost power on this thread. We have few similar cases in Bohol. One guy has his unit lost power and just stopped. Even if he pressed down the pedal it won't just move. All he can do is switched off the engine and re-start it again. He said the casa changed his fuel pump and now it's ok. Mine also lost power a few times specially on high speed. I have sent it back to the dealer and they only cleaned the fuel pump. So far I haven't experienced it again.

By the way nice mags! Is the billet grill from miggyboy? We have the same red strada but mine was a 4x4 GLS AT 2.5L.

    Jet A-1,

thanks!!! yup, i think so. i don't really remember anymore. im sure i bought them from the accessory shop inside Mitsubishi Cebu. hehe. Yeah, wish we bought the GLS. Kinda tight on the budget, so decided to drop things we didn't actually need for city driving, like the 4x4 and the On-board Computer or Multi-info display. Anyway, aside from the problem i got. the strada is great... hehe.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Nice pics, i saw one in Alaminos last Dec 27 with profile like yours, very beautiful. My own ute is 3 months old with around 3,000 km reading very seldon gamitin kasi my oversea posting rotation requires me to be away every two months. I was around when the 1st mini-EB was held but unfortunately not able to attend. Next April i will make it sure that i will be there, if there will be one.

Hey, on my way to NAIA via Dau, wheeew, without so much effort 120-170 km/H. Matatag, kidlat-bilis, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear ok pa and kung may 6th pa sana.

Some pics for viewing, ooops uploading declined due to dimension limits, will try again next time but hey look at my avatar.

Again more power to Strada owners, sulit as in i am very, very happy owning one. Ingat lang po.
