I PUT IN 265/50/R20, but i know the montero can swallow upto 285/50/r20 with no problems. but it's best to fit it and make sure that there's no rubbing.

hi, could any one comment regarding the insulation used on the new montero? outside kc i've noticed na medyo maingay yun engine. how about inside? a friend of mine test drove it at moa b4 and comparing the insulation used in inova, trooper (previous cars nila) and sta fe, crdi starex (present cars). tinipid daw ito sa insulation compared to these cars mentioned? is it true?
I'm planning to get one sana but medyo natakot ako after my friend comment on this.
    thanks

i think i have to agree with you on the insulation, i can hear the noise of the engine from the inside, i am thinking of adding some insulation on the 4 doors, and some more in the dashboard to reduce outside and road noise.

Thank u KCboy for your honest information. So i guess i have to think twice before deciding on what suv to buy. I never drive a car with diesel engine before that's why i guess insulation is very important matter kung mag diesel man ako. I thought pag crdi na mas tahimik na engine. Anyway i'm not in hurry to decide yet. habol ko lang sana yun introductory price nang montero.
It's giving me a hard time to choose kung rav 4, crv, sta fe, outlander, forester but now na dagdag pa yun montero. Any way thank you very much again.

list down first your expectations and needs for the vehicle that you want to buy, then we can narrow down your search. things to consider:
deiese/gas, 4x2 or 4x2, parts availability, cost to maintain, resale value, etc..hope you can narrow down the list and pinpoint what you really are looking for in a vahicle to decide on what to get. good luck. montero sport, gogogo!!!

i would like to say to the people thinking of buying the montero sport,

if you want an suv that's built tough and you intend to haul some stuff as well as a people carrier, i would recommend the montero sport, but if you are so use to the comfortable ride of a sedan, and carry your family around, i would really suggest you get SUVs like the santa fe, rav4, forrester and outlander since they are all car base SUVs, the montero, fortuners are ladder platforms and based on pickups so comparing their ride comfort with the car base suvs will be no competition.

for the montero and pajero equiped with super selct 4wd system
    2H= 2 wheel drive
4H= 4 whell drive high( can be used even on highways and shift to 4h with speeds up to 100kph) for better grip for all 4 tires on wet surfaces
4HLC= for loose gravel and slippery surfaces, not for paved streets.
4LLC= 4 wd low, for offroading and evironments that you will need great power and torque.

please check instruction manual of your vehicle on how to engage and disengage the 4wd system to avoid unnecessary wear or breakage on the 4wd of your Montero/Pajero.

Hi guys! my dad is planning on getting a montero by the end of the year. Having owned a Kia Carnival 2.9 tdic before were not new in owning and maintaining a diesel-fed vehicle.

Im aware of the GLS and SE versions. I would like to know if there is a variant such as GLS-SE with only 4x2?

i believe the weight savings of the 4wd system will translate to better FC. But i do want the add'l features most especially the LSD.

    Thanks in advance.
