Question lang...Re: 1000km check-up

My monty's odo reading is 920kms....is it ok to bring it to the casa for the 1000km pms? or i have to wait until it reaches 1000+kms

because i'll be going to bicol this weekend and its around 450kms from manila.

Sir Mconvert, you can also try to have your 1kPMS * Naga City ok un service nila dun. magagaling pa un mga technician nila. You can even watch them while they work on your MS.

I've had the Montero for 2 months already. 2300 km . City driving, once to Subic. For the 1000km check up l had them place synthetic oil and told me to come back at the 10th km mark. Paid around 7000. Since then I felt it to be more responsive (or is it the power of suggestion?) My consumption ranges from 8.4 to 9 city driving and I remember hitting 11km/l on the NLEX/ SCTEX. I feel that I get better consumption when I play with the INVECS system rather than straight automatic. Anyone can second this?

I think yes, you will get a better FC when you use the INVECS. Logically, para kang nag manual and we all know that a manual tranny gives more km 2 a liter..Ask ko lang po, when u had ur oil changed, ilang liters ang napalagay sa 3.2L 4M41 engine na yan ng MS? And does anybody here knows kung timing belt, gear or chain ang engine na yan? Iba iba kc ang reply ng SA sa iba iba ring dealers..Can someone enlighten us?

Since this is my first diesel suv..for the 1K PMS, do we really need to change the oil and use fully synthetic? what's the pros and cons? worth it ba talaga pag fully synthetic oil ang gagamitin? grabe mahal ng change oil 7K+

If so, when and how much?

I will be purchasing a new ride soon and this will be one of my choices if ever, coupled with another soon to be launched Honda Freed, another rumor.

Cashewchord, does this mean you won't be bringing in your vehicle for 5K KM PMS and OIL TOPPING of 1 liter? I had mine serviced at Union Otis and they told me the synthetic oil needs to be topped by 1 liter on the 5K km mark. Now, I'm confused....

Thanks leonleon, this is somehow a relief that a small portion of moist inside the headlights is normal. Just want to clarify, is it also ok to have a build-up of moist even when the lamp is already on? I noticed that the moist is showing when I am driving at night and when it is raining. It only disappears when I am already parked in our garage. Thanks again.

Hi, I am also planning to install HID but I am just worried on the moist that I noticed in my HL. I want to observe it muna, baka kasi in case lumala yung moist, bka sisihin ng Mitsu na dahil yun sa pag install ng HID...

Also, I am holding myself to make any mods... I am waiting for the Mla Auto Salon first... to see if there will be a modified MS there...

Hi gabrcri, yup, same experience. In my case, if I am driving in the rain at night, I notice the "foggy" lens when I stop, turn off the headlights, and park the car for the night. The next day, though, it's gone and the lens is crystal clear again.

I think there is a problem though, if the moist does not disappear at all. I've experienced this before on my Honda Civic way back in 1996 and I made a claim against warranty back then.

And then again on a 2005 Vios, but already when the warranty was over, so I just let it be until I sold it.

Truth be told, dami ko nakikita dyang headlamps na sobrang moist inside na di natatanggal for days on end. Yung ganoon ang me problem na headlamps.

I am waiting for the Mla Auto Salon first... to see if there will be a modified MS there...

From what i know.. There might not be a group that was able to get their hands on the MS in time to mod it for the show. Definitely i know that the group of Atoy's/xenon-bulb/speedlab will not have one since they told me that mine was the first one they've touched. Just last week, Atoy has took in my MS so that we could develop kits/bumpers for the MS.

I don't know if concept one will have an MS, but if they do, it'll be just an MS with rims.

Citimotors Alabang said that I wold just go back on the 10k mark. However,on the 5k, I would suggest that you look at your oil levels and determine if you need to go back to to top (which you could do by yourself. Mitsu uses Shell). It would depend on use. But being a new car, I doubt if you need to top. Save yourself from the casa costs...Just my opinion
