Hey stubby.. i can confirm to you that there are no tweeters in our gls.. When i had my sounds installed, they opened the door panels, and guess what, there's no speakers where the tweeters are suppose to be... so there you go.. a total of 4 speakers only in the unit.

February 6th, 2009 11:07 AM #1216ntyce, thanks for the confirmation. no wonder panget overall tunog ng sound system as don2x mentioned. the tweeters would have enhanced the sound. na-mislead tayo nung mitsu website tsk tsk
ntyce, whats your sound set up? parang gusto ko palitan yung 4 speakers and add tweeters.
rsyu, re steering wheel matter, kinompare ko kasi yung 2004 starex ng mother ko and much lesser yung ramdam nung mga road imperfections thru the steering wheel. nagtataka lang ako kasi 4x4 pa naman yung atin tapos ganon

February 6th, 2009 12:10 PM #1218hi ms owners and gurus. im planning to get the ms soon. but i got turned off if the price of preventive maintenance service costs. i also own a fortuner and it only costs me less than 4k pesos for every 5k kilometer check. the ms will cost aroung 6-7k pesos? is this for every 5k or 10k kms? if every 10k i guess this is okay lang. but not for 5k.
also, what if i opt to use regular oil rather than synthetic? will casa allow this? i only use regular oil for my fortuner. i know synthetic is better but i follow the regular check up of every 5k kms so i think my fortuner is okay naman with regular oil.
thanks guys!

Attorney, welcome....
As far as the maintenance cost, it can still go within the 3k-4k range if you opt to use the regular oil. I had my first 1k checkup changeoil with diamond motors and it didnt cost me 4k just because i opted for regular oil. And you are also right in the assumption that if you change your oil religiously for every 5k, I dont see the need for you changing your oil to synthetic.
By the way, since you own a fortuner, you will notice the difference in the ride, if you get to drive the monty.

In the GLS SE there are pillar tweeters. I had them replaced when i had my sounds replaced as well. I just retained the stock rear 5 inchers for rear fill as what some of you are thinking (planning).
The nice thing about this is that there are tweeter pods readily available, so all i had to do was to replace the stock tweets in the stock location and it fit really well. Including the stock location of the 5 1/2 mids on the door. No fabrication needed and they are stealthy and looks clean since it looks stock but doesnt sound stock
