You said it.. not me. HAHAHA

Nagbago na isip ko sir, will go for 12" sub na rin and a separate 4 ch amp. don't want to risk trying an amplified sub gawin ko na lang detachable yung box, will place the amp under the front passenger seat and ayos na.

advice lang just in case you don't know yet... but question first.. your 12'' sub? are you planning to have the sub and box installed while the rear seat is folded? or did you want to use the space behind the last row? Just in case you decide to just use the space behind the 3rd row only.. i really don't suggest you go with a 12''... there are many reasons that would go against that. 1. The box won't fit unless you make it really really tiny.. which makes the 12'' sub useless (the box makes a big difference, it could make or break your sound quality, and of course you won't get your money's worth). Another, the only way to fit the 12'', you'd need to make it face outwards, or towards the trunk door, that would present many problems since it would be pretty much touching the door already. If you decided to make it face inside, or into the back rest of the seats, the sound again would be comprimised.
2. Be sure to measure the amp first before you buy it, if you want it under the passenger seat. I tried on a few before it fit, the newer 4ch amps are chunky and won't fit.. granted those are usually below 10t worth. Unless you're not paticular with the amp kinda sticking out the back. Though it seems like there's a big space under our seat, looks are deceiving. I had to go with a rockford amp that is so tiny just to make it fit under the seat.. Problem is, its over 20t just for the amp. Mind you i just want the sound to be whole and with a little umfph.. just a little.. focusing more on clarity. Which i believe is what you're looking at for puchasing DLS.

Just my two cents.. if in case you don't already know the dilema.

As for warranty.. honestly.. With all the mods i've done, i think the only warranty i have left is for the A/C.

By the way.. anybody put in a blow off valve? or have any info in putting in a blowoff valve in the monty/strada? I hear its not as easy as just installing it like gas cars. Oh, also a boost gauge/control also?

my fog lights are not HID

So far i change my drivers side and passenger front right side to medium dark and the rest super dark VERY satisfied BIG difference from before night driving is way way much better now.. shades not much difference unless you come closer and observe it that well. only difference i notice peeps outside can see me better than before.. which is good.. and safe for my passengers.

Tomorrow Nitro my tires.

Coincidentally, i was speaking to sammy (owner) of concept one today about nitros in the tires. And we got into a lengthy discussion about it... Bottomline is: unless its free... don't get it...
Reasoning:
1. Airplanes and race cars definitely use nitros, because it is more even in pressure distribution and cooler.. but this is useful when there are sudden temperature changes, ie.. race track and landing strips. For it to be effective, you would need to reach an average of 200km/h.
2. For the nitro to be effective to it truest form, you need to have a purity of 97%-99% nitro in your tires.. how do we measure that? We cannot suck out or vacuum all the air in our tires, its not like a plastic bag. As soon as we mount our rims to our tires, there will definitely be air in them so you cannot reach the 97%-99% purity for it to be effective. Again, making it useless..
3. If nitro is effective, and technically, 50php per tire isn't expensive, why doesn't all car companies, or even just for luxury cars and even sports cars come with nitro from the factory?

Again, those are just opinions and rationalizing thinking about nitros in our tires. So for those who are thinking of getting them, maybe this would give a bit of insight as well? again, 200php is not expensive, but the mere fact of having to pay for it.

Also, with nitros, i think someone mentioned that the pressure does not decrease over time or something like that, well my friend with an X5 had his for 6months thinking that the pressure would always be the same... think again... since he had 30series wheels, he hardly noticed, be he was running on flats.

Medyo off topic, pero share ko na din what happend this week...

I already reserved for my MS last saturday, and the unit came in this afternoon... i took a look at it, and i saw sa kilometer reading na 90 plus km na tinakbo niya!!!! sabi ng SA, kasi daw galing sa batangas port, etc...(typical BS)

but i was pissed because on top of that, meron pa upos ng yosi sa may driver's side... as in kadadating lang kasi ng unit, mainit pa makina ...

ON TOP OF THESE, nakita ko na meron na gas-gas and dimple yung isang fender flare (young molding on top where the wheels are)!!! kung di ko pa nakita, di talaga sasabihin...
i checked yung mga kasabay na units dumating, and their kilometer readings are just 30 km plus! panu yun, from the same place, yung unit for me took 3 times the distance to reach the showroom?!!

I think that unit was previously damaged, went back to be repaired and then was attempted to be given to one buyer, got rejected, and now it came to me...

sabi nila wala na daw, nung sabi ko na di ko na kukunin, nung hapon tumawag sila saying na meron na ulit...

Your meet-up is not about bragging what you have installed in your rides, or what modification you can afford, its about learning about your vehicle, what are possible modifications (price and where to source them), and lastly building that network of friends that share the same ride as yours. But then again, some are here to just get info..if thats the case...no problem.

I know I am not an MS owner, but I'd like to push you MS owners to meet and talk about your ride. Sooner or later, you will have more questions and what better way to address them, but in person.

But then again, some are here to just get info..if thats the case...no problem.

sir xto, ano yung tunog ng dls b6a seps compared sa seps ng xwind? may xwind kami before so i have an idea re tunog non. medyo matining kasi yung sa xwind eh.

nagpapalit ka din ba ng wiring for the seps to the HU? isip ko i-diy yung pagpalit nung seps eh. papadala kc ako ng seps fr states. madali lang ba tanggalin yung sa doors (forgot ano tawag dun) para ma-access ko yung speakers?

re amplified sub, another option is infinity basslink II. ganda ng tunog nito for an amplified sub, IMO

ganda ng mga HIDs nyo boybakal and xto! tempting! di ba ma-vo-void warranty sa electricals?

I just had installed DLS B6A (w/tweeters) for the front speakers, and DLS 226 for the rear (2 way coaxials) installed at Winterpine, QC. The speakers are 6.5" and directly fit on the mounting/housing frame of the stock speakers. They will remove and modify the housing/framing of the stock speakers which are only 15 watts. The old stock speakers, after modification of the housing/frame, will essentially be useless already.

If the stock speaker frame/housing will not be used, the installer will have to construct from plywood the housing, ergo, more time to finish the job and will cost you an additional of P 200.00.

Better if a qualified installer does the installation for you...the installer will probably charge about P 600 as fee but this fee can be recovered from your savings in purchasing cheaper DLS speakers from the USA.

A ton of difference in sound quality and clarity for DLS vs stock speakers. The DLS B6A and DLS 226 speakers are 50/80 watts. But there are models higher in wattage.

Hey just got mine Nitroed and wow all my stock tires are pump with 55 psi

got em all 32psi now 15-20percent improvement definitely.. my reserve tire i got em to 40psi since will be long time before i use em..


also EB? maybe night time is better i got work on office hours of saturdays.. but if im free i might join up..
