GAS GAUGE PROBLEM: minsan aangat tapos bababa

UPDATE: pina check ko grounding, ok naman. nung hinugot ung float valve, ayun may malalim na portion dun sa parang tingga kya siguro pagpatak sa level na un, naglalaro ung gauge ko.

RESULTS: hininang nung electrician ung malalim na portion, sort of binuild up-an nya ung bunge para pantay sa profile, ayun so far so good! nakatipid ako sa palit float valve hehe

mga gurus another question, yun bang differential natin eh LSD type (limited slip differential)? '99 m/t 4x4 po specs ng sa akin.

til now wala pa po ako makitang gear oil na match sa pajero

    thanks in advance
As far as I know hindi LSD ang diffs ng Gen 2.5. Eto required gear oil specs for the diffs.

    Front Diff
    - GL 5 Hyphoid Gear Oil
    - SAE 80/90
    - 1.2 liters

    Rear Diff
    - GL 5 Hyphoid Gear Oil
    - SAE 80/90
    - 3.2 liters

I use Castrol Hypoy C Gear Oil SAE 80w-90 or Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil 75w/90 for the 2.5's diffs.

I suggest you go to Denso in Banawe. Maayos sila don. More expensive than the usual tabi tabi calibration shops but you get a quality job.

No success yet in finding a repair manual for the whole vehicle which includes all body parts, electrical system, suspension etc... Nakuha ko Pajero 2001-2002 but it's not the same as the one we have. Meron akong nakita 1991 -1999 pero iba rin parang Gen II
    Sir,
Pa send po naman at my email address : mqtiglao*gmail.com

Hi guys im new here and also new when it comes to cars, especially paj's but I really hope someone can shed some light to my ignorance in these subjects

I have a very cheap secondhand converted 3 door pajero. My first problem is a clicking sound in the right front wheel when braking, even when braking slightly, sounds like the brake in the right side is delayed hehe then justs clicks in for no reason after a second.

Second is the sunroof rubber guard on top of the car roof not the rubber guard inside.. it's not a sliding sunroof btw. Can these be replaced? Any idea on the price?

Third but not the least is the fan. Aircon seems to be running because when i turn the AC switch on i can hear another fan and the whole thing rev up but no air flows through the vents... sana fuse lang hehehe. Sorry for being so noob, I've been driving for 15 years but I dind't really pay attention to these details until recently.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi tsikoteers..

I'm shopping around for a second hand SUV and my budget is 600 - 700k
The choices that fit my budget were the following..

    1. 2003 Trooper
    2. 2001 Pajero Fieldmaster

What would be the smarter choice interms of..
    - Maintenance
    - Availability of parts
    - Smoke Belching Issue
    - Fuel Consumption
    - Reliability

I plan to keep this car for another 5-7 years.

Hope to get some inputs from you guys.

    Thank you.

avoid the trooper with the 4jx1 engine, that will give you lots of headache and you will spend a lot on fixing the injectors. tust me you are better off with a pajero.4d56 or a 4m40 engine..

I agree. Stay away from the trooper lalo na type with 4jx1 engines... i have both 2002 Trooper and Pajero FM 2001. I just sold my trooper two weeks ago for 320 thousand with a busted cylinder head that cost 200 thousand just for the parts alone... it's a good SUV but unless you're ready for high maintenance cost... the poorly designed injectors can create too many problems for the engine....

I'm happy i have a Pajero FM... parts are cheaper and much easier and costs a lot less to maintain... kahit 2001 model yan sir ok lang... altho mas mahal lang talaga siya...

good luck in your search for an SUV!

just so you know what trooper has the 4jx1 engine, it's the ones with the 3.0 dohc 16valve intercooler engine....all 4x2s and skyroof troopers released locally are the ones with the 4jx1, some 99to00 models 4x4s are also equip with that engine so avoid it like a plague.

    +1

Go with the Pajero. Horror stories abound with the 4jx1 engine of the Trooper.

    Pajero all the way.

I'm rooting for this SUV and will probably start saving for FM as provision permits.
