Good morning to All! I have a problem with my Pajero. Nag over heat sya last night. Every morning nag lalagay nako ng water sa radiator before starting the engine. Nag tataka ako bakit laging kulang ang tubig.Hindi ko masyado pinansin kasi while in heavy traffic hindi naman sya nag overheat.
My wife have been using it for the last five days and syempre hindi man lang nag utos mag lagay tubig. Tipong ang alam lang ay mag drive lang. he he he that's my wife.
Last night when she got home, told me that my Pajero smell's like burning oil. Tayo agad ako at nakita ko smoke coming out from engine room. When I open the hood the smoke came out and it smells like burning oil nga.
Here are my question. Why is it nauubos ang tubig? Wala naman leak. Water pump is good because, wag mo lang kalimutan mag tubig before using it walang problem. I also replace the radiator cap. Hose are all good kahit walang leak pinalitan ko na kasi baka nga hindi ko lang nakita yong leak. Sa radiator lang ako may nakikitang water stain malapit sa lagayan ng tubig. nelany, tama na yang presyo na yan, post mo comment mo sa knn pag nakuha mo. dumaan ako sctex kahapon, first time ko na hi speed yung knn parang bumilis sa pakiramdam,feeling ko lang ha, or dahil malamig na panahon sa gabi. lalo na going to 150kmh.
larshell, wala pa ako ng experince sa nawawalan ng tubig, kung talagang walang leaks,minsan lang lumuwag yung clamp ng hose ko sa likod ng engine kaya may patak patak. I would check first kung ok water pump and radiator. dapat pag maiinit na with the radiator cap open, silipiin mo kung malakas flow ng water sa radiator cap. compare mo sa montero mo. your radiator could be clogged kaya pag umiinit nilalabas niya sa reservoir yung tubig.
Ive read a post dito na same problem sayo. kaya lang major repair siya. kung tama ang alala ko, medyo mahina na memory ko. kung talagang nagbabawas without leak, may crack cylinder head yata ang findings. sumasama daw yung tubig sa combustion chamber, hindi ko sure to ah, nabasa ko lang.

Hi! some years ago i had thesame problem with my Lancer GLXi. No leaks, water pumps are fine, all fans are working pero overheated pa rin. I found out that theres this valve in the water system (in the metal tube areas not on the rubber hoses) that opens or shuts off water circulation. Its how the engine maintains its temperature. Like in the morning you might notice that after a few minutes of starting your car a certain "warm" temperature is reached and is maintaned that way, that valve initially shuts and stops water circulation to reach the desired engine temp, then aftre reaching it it opens automatically, if its damaged or corroded na its stucks up either its always open or always closed. Kaya sometimes you might notice na ok ngayun bukas overheated na naman.
im not sure if a PAJERO is fitted with one but most certainly is..you might want that checked if the other cooling systems are ok..HTH

Bro larshell for peace of mind pa check mo sa qualified mechanic or send to casa for proper diagnostic. Baka abutin ka ng tirik.

nelany, kayang kaya ng pajero natin 150, mabilis lang maabot going to 150 but papuntang 160 top speed matagal na sobra. I managed to hit 170 sa sctex dati kasi pababa yung road kaya may daya.
konti nalang redline na kaya binitawan ko agad. yesterday I was tailing a montero sport mula entry to exit and we were both doing 150 most of the time. but the only difference is yung makina ko sigaw na, yung kanya humihuni palang.
imho lang ah, parang mas mabilis na maabot ang top speed with the knn.
800 yata yung knn filtercharger. good for 2 cleaning na yan. usually ang una nauubos yung cleaner, yung oil mahirap ubusin.
