vinkim, para saakin hindi ok magpaengine wash, theres a risk na may masira alternator, mag short mga connectors and mga lubricated parts matutuyuan. pati mga rubber hoses hindi dapat nalalagyan ng petroleum products. lulutong yun. regular punas punas lang pwede na for me.

washing the engine of the 4d56 pajero is no problem, but i wouldnt recommend the power washing of the whole engine bay, using degreaser and light hosing of the engine bay with proper covering of the alternator, horns, electrical box and airintake will be suffcicient enough.![]()
yung power steering hose ko may mga small cracks na. check niyo rin sa inyo.
heres the part no. 1,300 kuha ko sa carline.
pag papagawa ng steering pump or gearbox for sure kakalasin yung hose na yan, malutong na siya kaya pag hinila mag crack siya.
may kausap ako kanina na mechanic, napagusapan namin about crack sa main fan blade, dahil nabasa ko dati na may mga cases na sa atiin, ang cause daw nun is pag nagoverheat engine, I dunno how true. dahil daw sa init di kaya ng plastic. wala lang info lang![]()

It seems that you have repaired na your steering box, yun sa akin my appointmnet ako home service to repair my steering box & pump come saturday. What do you think about the charge of P4500. The guy is from mits parang sideline lang niya ito. Some of my friends not happy of the fee, stiff daw, kaya lang wala silang experience with this kind of job kaya not likely give them the credit, better dito na lang sa forum ,coz Im talking to the people with K .

rts, yung pump ko palang ang pinarepair ko, nag ka moisture yung pump dahil yung seal nanigas na, hindi pa ako naka abot sa gearbox. tinanong ko yun mechanic ko dito gearbox labor fee is 1.5k daw sa kanya.
bali nag ka leak sa saakin sa mismong kabitan ng PS pump sa engine, very clear sa pic saan galing leak, heres another info that may prove useful, hindi kasama yung o ring in between engine and PS pump, sa repair kit ng PS pump, kaya nung nag pa repair ako sealant lang ginamit sa part na yan, akala ko kasi kasama siya sa PS reapir kit, labo talaga ng mitsu. i had no choice kasi oorderin ko pa sa manila yung isang o ring na yan.
pajman, yeah your right, basta uminit daw ng husto crack aabutin. so far ok pa fan blade ko, ako pa nag sabon nung kinalas, kaya ang puti puti na uli.also replaced my fan belts ng may ipin na gaya ng kay AC. yung oem kasi na mitsuboshi fanbelts mabilis umingay, subukan ko to kung mas tatagal.

AC, mas OK sakin yung 6000K/8000K combo, athough useful yung pag ka yellowish ng 3000K pag foggy and rainy ang road and kapag dilaw ang street light. Cancel out kasi yung white Light kapag Dilaw yung Ilaw sa mga Lamp post.
PB, I had my belts already replaced ng me ngipin, after 1 month kelangan I adjust pa uli parang me slack yung tension ng konte pero after that OK nanaman.
RTS, parang ang mahal naman ng 4.3K na singil nga, yung Isuzu ko pinababa ko yung steering box nasa 700-800 lang yung charge ng (backyard)mekaniko ko nung march. Unless kasama na repair kit dun. just me 2 cents...
PB, wala ba talaga nabibili na gasket para sa oil pan ng ATF? tumawag kasi ako sa carline kanina ang sabi wala daw ganun and nag suggest na asbestos na lang daw gamitin ko. TNX
bg, ingat ka sa paghihigpit ng fanbelts. Tingin ko yan ang dahilan kaya bumigay waterpump ko.
Taz, wala talagang gasket. Sealant lang ginagamit.

Tnx PB, me play pa rin I think 1/2 inch yung ginawa ni utol. Nga pla Ok ba yung Caltex Thuban GL-5 & GL-4 na gear oil? Or me ma recomend ka na Iba?
Tsaka yung DEXTRON III ba is yung standard sa ATF? not the brand? Kita ko kasi yung caltex na texamatic ATF meets the requirements daw?

[SIZE=3]Thanks for you inputs, skeds repair for my ride are (1) PS pumps due leaking on top, (2) steering box leaks ,(3) 4WD solenoid dahil continuous flashing & others na makita nila, sana it will not go beyond sa initial inspection ng MITS guys, Labor charge P 4.5K walang tawad, materials about P7.0K, nakikisama rin naman ang aircon ko humihingi na rin ng sick leave.[/SIZE]

Hi sa inyong lahat! My first time to join this thread. I own a 2001 Pajero Fieldmaster 4x2. Medyo makalampag na kasi siya and i plan to have it taken to a shop para mareplace yung mga suspension parts like ball joints, shock absorbers (which i learned here mukhang ok yung Gas-A-Just na kayaba), etc.. I know you guys are the experts on this.
Patulong naman po on the following:
1. Can you recommend a store where i can buy the parts and install them at a reasonable cost. preferably Banawe or anywhere in Manila or QC. (mura pala... hehe reasonable kasi varies depending on your spending capacity.) Siempre quality work din po..
2. What parts should i replace... siempre hindi ko naman kayang pagawa lahat sabay sabay so by priority ano dapat ang mga uunahin ko.
but the way, napansin ko mukhang marami dito kabisadong kabisado ninyo yung Pajero... tanong ko lang kung saan makakakuha ng service and repair manual ng Pajero 2001 model 4x2 2.8 Turbodesiel... magandang rin siguro merong copy...

(I used to own an Isuzu trooper so galing ako sa kabilang groupo but i sold it a few days ago... i guess most of you are aware of the local isuzu problems..) Gamit ng misis ko yung Fieldmaster and I've decided to take it and bili ko na lang siya ng kotse.... hehe

but i suggest sabay sabay niyo po ipagawa.. wag paisaisa.. para ma-align din pag tapos.. mahal din po kasi tires kaya sayang pag may problema suspension niyo
hindi po dahil maingay palit po lahat... the last time i went to wheelers nag ssqueak po suspension ko.. ininject lang nila ng grasa.. ok napo ball joint.. they didnt replace.. ok po sa wheelers.. dahil... tatangalin po nila piyesa niyo and check kung ano sira and kung sira nga ba talaga... hindi tulad sa iba na... palit nalang ng palit.. di pa natatangal.. may listahan na ng papalitan.. hehe

sabagay tama ka din... better to have it checked first bago paplitan... in fact tumawag ako sa motorix everything will cost 16,500 (shocks, ball joint, pitamn & idler arms, tie rods, stab links ) all replacement parts tapos ang labor matindi aabutin ng 6000 kasi per piece ang singil... ang tindi
anyway, saan ba yung wheelers, zee and cruven? may contact numbers ka ba nila?

service manual for pajero , i can't recall saan website ko nakuha, punta ka lang sa googles ilagay mo lang pajero manuals makikita mo, its free kaya lang mahaba haba, parang 4mb but you can delete some irelevant issues. same here malaki laki rin gastusin ang hinaharap ng pjro ko starting sa PS steering system, kasi nagsimula sa maliit na bagay hindi pinansin . I have MITS guy who will do the repair home service, I can't vouch yet his skills dahil remain to be seen pa
