Can you please tell us how this wiper up works? It is normally up right? and then when it rains, how do you adjust to lower it down?

when you engage the wipers, the spring mechanism automatically retracts the stand sideways and you can use your wipers normally

if you want to put it up, you have to do it manually by moving the stand into its upright position (as you can see in the picture)

a simple mechanism really but useful in preserving your wiper blades and windshield when you are parked especially under the heat of the sun

Hi mga sir, new monty owner here. Got my unit last week and had my 1K pms already . I've been reading this thread for almost a month and I would say that you guys are very helpful in giving your ideas and sharing your experiences.

Right now, I would like to ask you guys, based from your driving experience, how do you define yung "tagtag" ng unit natin? Kase mine is "matagtag" - you can feel yung every end ng road. Also, when the unit was released sa casa, all tires are at 45kpa and after traveling almost 600kms, I was able to checked and deflate it to 30 front and 32 rear. Medyo ramdam ko pa rin yung daan at sa maliliit na humps. Also the steering wheel is matagtag rin. I already raised it sa casa during the PMS and they told me that this is normal. Been driving a honda city 2010 before and I must say na based from feel and comfort ay mas matagtag yung monty. Hope for your feedback on this. TIA!!!

    "tagtag" is subjective

a lot of it depends on what you were used to driving before

the only way to really define "tagtag" is to do a comparison of various brands of the same class and then determine what is "tagtag" or find out the least "tagtag"

personally, since i came from other similarly classed rides (including air suspension rides), i don't find the monty "tagtag"

is this your first SUV? if you're going to compare the montero to your previous ride (honda city), mas matagtag talaga ang montero. as it is, hindi talaga kayang pantayan ng SUV ang riding comfort ng mga sedan (especially sa manila roads).

congratulations on your new montero! okay yan. suffice it to say that as it is, you're already riding one of the most comfortable SUV's around. (maraming mas matagtag pa dyan.)

*111prez, Sir I appreciate your quick reply. I do agree na medyo subjective yung "tagtag". Sabi ko nga, after 600kms of long driving sa province with 45kpa tire pressure, bka sobrang nanibago lang ako . Kase When I got there, I also compared it sa Honda CRV ng brother in law ko and napansin ko na parang matigas yung suspension ng Monty natin ( note that the CRV has 28kpa as tire pressure) that's why i deflated the MOnty's tires to 30kpa. Nevertheless I enjoyed and love driving the MOnty kase sobrang lakas ng hatak nya at talagang bibigyan ka nya ng lakas when overtaking and on hihgways

*smooth, yes Sir, this is may first SUV though I have driven a CRV before ng brother in law ko aside from my sedan. Tama ka sir, it is the best in its class kase I've been comparing it sa ibang SUVs(fort and eve).

By the way mga sir, do you have any recommendation based from your experience sa tire pressure ng Monty natin? Any different tire pressure for city driving and for highway driving? Thanks !!!

the crv is no SUV. personally, i would classify this as a big car

but that said, don't expect the suspension of the monty to be like that of a crv or some other cute-ute

30 psi is just about okay although i personally prefer 1 or 2 psi more

right now, i am at 29.98 psi on all tires cold and as the drive gets longer and the temps get higher, the psi rises to about 31, as per the TPMS. i am on nitrogen by the way

if you want the suspension to be less "tagtag" you can try putting aftermarket old man emus or ranchos but it will still be nowhere the suspension of a cute-ute

^hahaha "cute cute" natawa talaga ako dito. hahaha. Anyway sir thanks for the info, I'll change to nitrogen as well kase I also heard na hindi masyado nag expand under high temperature compared to the usual air. Last set of questions, may ma recommend ba kayo sir na dealership na okay yung service when it comes to PMS? Kase im not happy with the service I got sa dealership when I had my 1K PMS. Another question sir, do you have any idea kung gaano katagal yung LTO plates( ending 9 or 0). Sabi kase ng SA 1 month pa daw. , kakatakot kase mag out of town ng walang plate #. Thanks!!!

    depends on your location

for me, i go to mitsu makati (despite the horror stories) and so far i am satisfied with their service

siguro it paid to have someone higher up endorse you to their service department, hehehehe

a lot in the forum recommended mitsu valle verde

search mo nalang sa PMS thread. maraming feedback doon

kung 1st gen CRV, maganda talaga ang ride pero 2nd gen CRV sobrang tagtag nyan (i have one), mas matindi pa sa fortuner. haven't driven a 3rd gen CRV though. nakakapanibago talaga ride ng SUV sa umpisa, lalo na if you're coming from a sedan pero walang tatalo sa vantage point. for me, perfect ang ride height ng montero. you'll feel better and more at ease pag traffic, compared sa sedan na para kang nakakakulong dahil sa baba ng ride height, lalo na kung puro truck ang katabi. or, kung baha. perfect yan.

give it a week or two (or maybe a month) and masasanay ka din sa tagtag and after a while, kapag sedan naman ang minaneho mo, parang feeling mo ay disconnected ka naman sa kalye.

regarding tire pressure, i'm still at 30psi all around (same as with sedans).

service? try peak motors on edsa corner roxas blvd. very happy with their service. (libre pa kape or juice hehehe)

sir, why do you need an aux fan? sira na agad ang stock na aux fan? nag-o-overheat? (yikes, parang ang bilis nasira ng stock a)

*obfree and *gtvguy, mga sir, medyo matagal tagal nga, binigyan na ako ng delearship ng makapal na DRs with different dates.

*111prez - buti pa kayo sir may endorsement, atleast panatag ang loob nyo to have your monty serviced. My PMS experience is a different story, natatawa na lng ako. Im from makati sir and im willing to go an extra mile just get a good service during PMS basta wag lng po sa out of town dealearship. hehehe

Yan din yung mga considerations ko kaya I opted to get an SUV. Cge sir, I'll give it a try and right now I loved driving it. Thanks !!!

same here, 45psi ang nakalagay when I got it. Changed it to 30 pero almost the same.
as per the plate, requested ending no. is 3 pero 1 month and 1 week na pero wala pa rin.
As for the vantage point, driving comfort, ok naman pero wala pa ring tatalo sa gen 2 pajero ko sa lambot ng manibela at clutch hehe
Sir prime_it, would you mind sharing kung saan ka nagpa pms? I'll be having my 1k PMS tomorrow at Peak Roxas Blvd / Edsa.

    Thanks

As far as registration plate is concern, i got the worst here. its already been almost 4 months nung makuha ko ung GLS V ko, pero wala pa akong plate, ending is 8. they said they made mistake sa pag file sa LTO. Oh well, there always something...

Tire pressure, sinunod ko lang ung nasa driver door na recommended tire press of 29 and 32.

*Prime, I suggest you change the wiper. lolz I saw the thread about wiper 2 months ago on this forum. Dapat pinalitan ko na nun pa. But try checking it first of course.

By the way guys, bosch aero twin blade ba ang pinalit niyo sa mga wipers niyo? or you using a different but less pricey bosch product?

I get my PMS here in Pampanga with free car wash. Though ako tlaga nagwawash ng MS ko. :D
