    1. Ride is not as stiff as Fortuner

    3. There is a noticeable turbo lag (hesitation) when accelerating. After that, smooth all the way
    4. Brake is too soft for my taste. Parang hindi titigil....
    5. Steering is a bit heavy

Guess the new VGT didn't lick the old problem.

I am also getting about 8.5 to 10 km/l in city. It really depends on the traffic. I am mostly doing 8.5. Given its size, I think its pretty good. Much better than my Mazda 3.

Some questions for the enthusiasts out there.
    1. Is there a way to have the GPS talk while switching off the radio? I can do this on ipod mode, but not radio mode. (You can press pause on ipod mode).
    2. Is the beeping sound I hear because of the GPS?
    3. The fuel consumption on the display seems to start and restart. Meaning, it seems to measure per trip. Other systems I have seen would 1) measure total traveled and gives you your fuel consumption or 2) real time fuel consumption. In short, I begin with 4km/l then the more i drive, improves to 8.5km/l.

    4. There is an AUX IN jack? Where do I plug in? Or is this hidden? I assumed that it was like the ipod cable.
    5. Is there any way to remove 3M mark? I tired using alcohol to no avail. It currently blocks my line of sight.
    6. Wish AVT had prepared a better manual. Same holds true for keyless entry system since both were dealer installed.
    7. Talked to winterpine marketing and they told me that head unit SRP is about P50K. Much more than what I thought it to be.
    8. Wipers a bit noisy when activated. Sounds as if there were no rubber.
    9. Ride is good for ladder on frame... dare I say, best in class. But, tiring after a while.
    10. Sound calibration on AVT head unit is hard. Sounds great on talk shows or movies, but really lousy on music. My sound tracks have never sounded this bad. It is as if it needs more treble and even when you adjust it, its not there.

I don't think 8 - 9 km/l isn't so bad specially in traffic. I'm pretty sure in long highways your unit can go 11-13 km/l. And still might improve further after your 1st PMS.

As for number 10, its not the AVT head unit even with its limited tuning capabilities. When I replaced mine, the oem speakers seems to be made of paper or cardboard. Replaced it with focals and added an amp tp improve sound quality. Big improvement. It is hard to replace the oem avt since it has several functions and the only recourse is to imstall an external sound processor.

I am sure there would be compared to Fortuner. The Fortuners lag would be less noticable because after the lag it's just the same; or one continuous lag

Vios is a small car, you can't compare braking capabilities of a heavy SUV with a light car.

Just got my white gtv at sfm sales corp san pablo laguna and drove it back all the way to bulacan. More Powerful than my 4m41 plus it's really a quieter engine. The lag that has been talked about is there in the specs. If you step on the pedal having an rpm below 1800, it's a tolerable lag, and only happens if you are on D, but if you are using the paddle shift and rpm is 1800 and above, there is no lag. I'll upload pics after I mount my 28"s wheels tomorrow morning.

As for the brakes, it's fine with me. I think it's better than my fieldmaster, '96 c220(maybe because it's old) and gls 4x4 4m41( rear drum brakes).

If you are referring to maintaing the shine of your car then you can go to your suking detailer. I would recommend big berts and get their optiguard paint protection program. It consists of 1 full detail and 3 quarterly maintaince sessions. Got this and it costs 7.5k. My 5 year honda jazz is subscribed to this program since day 1 and its like the car is brand new
