Yung bang GT-V variant, may MT????
Is carword an official MMPC dealership?
Their standard discount is P20,000 plus Free LTO on GT-V.
There is one SA saying that the 20k is only on first 1,000 vehicles (which has expired) and he says no free LTO. How is he allowed to publicly say that when, his fellow (citi motors) sa's are saying otherwise. Here: http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/vi...ero+sport+gt+v
Just came from Citimotors Alabang. Paid the 50,000php deposit and was alerted that I can get my unit within the week. Very selective pala sila sa colors eh, white and black is especially in demand. But I can get a silver GT-V if I decide to pull the trigger within the week though
Now that I think about it, parang ang konti lang ng Silver Montys. Puro nakikita ko are black, white, red, blue...
I think you may have misread my post. That guy says there is no discount on GT-V after first 1,000. Read his reply to a query from one sulit member. No 20,000 no LTO. Seeing as the standard discount from MMPC is in fact 20k, inline with their single pricing policy (they told me so), how can he be allowed to pocket it for himself.
Every other one has given 20k and most free LTO.
My local (provincial) dealer promiced me he would match the price/discounts in Luzon before I paid my deposit; so I expect he will give me free LTO as well as the 20k discount.
Can I give you a small piece of advice. Seeing as you are spending close to P1.7m on a new car; get it in the colour of your first choice and do not take a different colour just because you can have it a week earlier. You may spend the next few years regreting your decision.
As for silver; it is considered a very safe colour. It is also not as popular now as it was in the nineties, when it made a substantial revival.

Not for me naman eh. I've got a date with Hyundai Sonata Premium (though the ladies at Citimotors Alabang is more of my typeshort skirts ftw!) Kidding aside, The GT-V is for corporate use and since my brother's busy with the day-to-day affairs, threw the responsibility of purchasing the car to me. Not that I'll complain anyway.
Citimotors Alabang was saying reduction of cash discount from 45k to 40k just because I picked an "in demand" colorwtf... but I'll argue nalang with this. Colors red and blue are automatically off the list since those are the colors of our two other corporate cars so it's either:
Black (usual bodyguard look)
White (top pick actually. But that's me since the Sonata's white)
Gray (can't visualize this.. isn't gray equal to a matte silver? LOL!)
Silver (#1 pick for now)
Brown (trouble getting this color)

Careful with the all-around black tint. Although a lot of people use it, it's illegal to have a dark tint at your windshield.
The Unichip's performance would be better if you upgrade to stage 1 tuning -- muffler upgrades. Keep us posted of the performance boost afterwards. Note that aftermarket parts would void your warranty so consult with your SA first.
For the audio upgrade: Banawe is your first stop (I believe void electricals warranty mo nito)
Pity I can't play around with the MS since it's not mine. First upgrade is a trip to CTK for armoring (level 3-4 armoring lang cguro... any more and it'll be dead slow). Afterwards, I'll probably have to scout for some minor performance mods (exhaust, chips, etc.) to free up some additional torque. Di na kami nagaalala sa warranty since agad void na yun warranty due to the revised suspension which is needed to pull the additional weight. Let's just see kung gano kalakas itong VGT :D
sir md alcapone, hope this helps.....

Hi everyone, newbie here. I am looking for a review of the 2011 montero VGT , but it seems this site is not the right one. I am getting mine soon, joined the "mad rush" to get the 2011. And I was wondering if there is another review blog to get feedback from those who altready have it. Thanks.
Forums aren't really a venue for reviews. It's more for feedbackssince there's only minor changes (model refresh) for the Montero Sport, the usual "reviews" of: gwapo looks, good engine, most-commonly-compared-to-the-Santa-Fe, etc. criteria still applies.
Personally, I'm waiting for Autoindustriya's and Motioncar's hands-on review. For an advertisement disguised as a review, check out Top Gear's review on the GT-V: http://www.topgear.com.ph/drives/201...gtv-4x4-review
As jhnkvn said; Forums are not really the place for reviews. One reason being, sometimes non owners put in a negative review because they are a fanboy of a different model.
Usually these fly by night posters are easy to spot, due to their lack of follow up posts, inaccuracy in details, unresponsiveness to requests for further details on Casa etc., and they sometimes put in a few positives to help disguise their fabrication.
There are several posters here that you can be 99% sure are genuine. Although not professional reviewers; they can give you a good insight into the vehicle. Of course they may be slightly biased due to the fact that they are actual owners of the vehicle in question.
The reason there are no actual full reviews on the vgt models yet is due to the fact that the motoring press have not yet been given the chance to test the vehicle. The launch last month consisted of the showing off the vehicle, and the press were taken for a drive of their life with two-time Paris-Dakar champion Hiroshi Masuoka at the controls.
Expect some full reviews in next month or so.
i just realized, i have been turning my monty with 2 hands on the steering wheel. Kinda stiff compared to my other SUV where i can just turn with one hand. Especially during Reverse Parking.
SA told me that my electrical warranty will be void even if they will be the one to install the Bosche Europa Horn GRRRR! =(
Quick questions:
The 3rd row folds flat?
With the 3rd row up, the 2nd row can be fully reclined to make a "bed" ?
With the 3rd row up, there is still enough "trunk" space, say, for a golf club set?
