The noise from the brake pedal whenever I step on it (or release it) is so annoying. I find the noise unusual compared to a 10 year old Mazda3:

From the video, there's an air noise whenever I step on the pedal followed by a mechanical noise when releasing the pedal.

Another M3 owner posted a video demonstrating the same noisy pedal at youtube:

Could this be a common issue with the M3?

Is the rearview mirror really supposed to slide off easily from its mount? (I.e., the metal mount that's on the windshield.

I notice that ours easily slides up and out when whenever we accidentally hit it when putting on/off the sunshade

The inside rear view mirror should be fixed ... maybe it's not locked properly ... tinters remove it when applying tint ...

Took a closer look and turns out there is a screw for tightening. Thanks!

I recently used CTEK to charge the M3 battery, took 2 hours to fully charge the battery.

What's the recommended interval for charging the battery? If the car is used daily, should I charge the battery less often, perhaps every month? Does charging the battery every weekend too much?

It's harmless to keep the batt constantly conditioned. For a daily, weekend plug-ins are fine.

I charge/condition my car battery once a month.

Let's hope it's as efficient as Skyactiv engines. The Vitara thread should give you a better idea on its FC, sir!

    From this review:

"During this drive to La Union, it averaged an 18.87 km/L figure (average speed of 52 km/h)."

First Drive: 218 Suzuki Vitara GLX | Philippine Car News, Car Reviews & Prices | ************

M3 1.5L Mown3rs can probably give some FC numbers.

The 2018 Vitara along with 2018 Subaru XV were my options last year. All of sudden I changed my mind and went for the beautiful M3. Like what sir travajante said, I just followed my heart [emoji16]

FC is probably your top priority. Other priorities might be ride comfort, ground clearance (which the Vitara and other SUVs have an advantage).

I use my M3 2.0L as my daily 60km drive, a replacement to the 10yo M3 1.6L. After the 3rd full fill up, my new M3 is giving better FC stats compared to the old M3. Fuel cost wise (with the exception of the higher fuel price recently), there's no huge difference between my old and new M3. I could have opted for the M3 1.5L for practicality/better FC but I just went for what I really wanted.

Hmmmn, looks like i really have to schedule a test drive. Im curious with Mazda's tagline of jinba ittai, if the horse and rider really feels as one?.

Our 1st Mazda, a Sky 3, got us hooked. It's not uncommon to see family stables w/ more than 1 Mazda.

The car becomes an extension of yourself after using it for a long time. Mazda just made a good marketing slogan that describes well the quality of their cars.

The very comfortable seats, the minimalist yet intuitive dashboard, the BMW-like gas pedal feel that gives that smooth acceleration control, yeah I feel like very connected with the M3.
