For those who have bought their M3's last year, did your dealership required you to sign some waiver docs indicating that you and the dealership will be liable to pay some penalties to LTO if you are caught driving your unregistered unit upon release from casa, or the dealership "forced" you to get the unit from the casa even though the LTO OR/CR documents are not yet ready? Is there some special policy from LTO that allows unregistered units to be taken out from the dealership?
The dealership (Mazda GH) asked me if i wanted to sign a waiver. I didn't sign it though and just waited for the OR/CR. Took around 8-10 working days I think.
The waiver is not a requirement.
And as far as I know, it's still illegal to drive a vehicle without an OR/CR.

That's good to know. I read some stories from the other threads in this forum site that some car dealerships would require the customer to sign the waiver and take out the unit upon full payment. There's actually one car dealership along C5 Pasig that requires their customers to do this because they don't want to keep the purchased units stocked inside their warehouse (probably because they don't have enough space to keep the sold units).
I also got my unit from Greenhills. I was not forced per se but they were not very forthcoming with regards to the waiver, meaning they will not tell you upfront that you can opt to wait for OR/CR. If I was not excited to take home my unit I would have insisted that they keep it in the warehouse. In fact the isn't the law is they cannot release the unit without OR/CR? I wonder if they can really legally waive responsibility with a waiver like that.
Anyway I was too excited for my first ever brand new car so it didn't matter in my case.![]()
I can understand the excitement hehe. I insisted with the dealership that I won't get the unit until its registered at LTO. I guess my risk aversion is stronger than my excitement.
What's the 1st PM sched for the M3? Is it the 1st 1000km or 1st month, whichever comes first?
The 1st month PMS can be a problem if in case the OR/CR is not yet available. It wouldn't be reasonable if the unit will be required to undergo the 1st PMS if it's barely used.
Will the countdown for the 1st month PMS start on the day the unit is released to the owner (along with the LTO registration docs), or on the date the unit was delivered to the casa?
If you're a relative no problem.
Agree? (of course)

From my last computation, 1 kilometer costs 3.00 Pesos. You reminded me to take note of the difference, when it comes [emoji16]
May utang pa pala ako. I forgot to post the photos of my vinyl floor mats. The mats are truly helpful keeping dirt/dust in sight and at bay.
