The vow was broken after 50 days and after True Value- and Blade-hopping [emoji16] ...if we consider antenna replacement a modification.

Thanks, Mr. T for the PM [emoji4]

    Which looks better?

    This one?

    Or this one?

Yup, like how you posted the 1st time. Press the orange tab you see below the posts... partially covered by the squares indicating pages.

It's the same product you PM-ed me, Mr. T. I discovered that parts are interchangeable.

This M3 is making me do things I've never done before [emoji16]

And oh... I left the car at the garage with the 2nd look [emoji4]

    Liking its new look now...

My fiancee bought me a set of vinyl floor mats too. I'll post pics when it's here, maybe after a week.

Looks way better the stock 1 which common bends. Are the mats 3-specific?

Great to have an affirmation [emoji4]

Yes, they are custom-fitted at 1,199.75. I'm pretty excited, actually. Hehe. It took us a while to find it.

The long and tedious process of dealer hopping is over. Finally jumped the gun at the Jinba Ittai Academy last weekend! Got the M3 1.5 sedan. Thank you for the very helpful tips!

Newbie question. What is the difference between 2017 and 2018 M3? Is it just the year model or was there a minor face lift?

3s should be just the same as facelift w/ GVC came earlier than the 2 & CX3.
Grats, bo sir! WelcoM3 to the Mown3rship...Please share us your plans.[emoji4]

Finally got our unit last Saturday. This car is a result of several last-minute decisions. From a "final" choice of BR-V we went with the M3. Then back-and-forth debate between hatchback and sedan. Then finally it was the hatchback, and then from a "final" choice of white, I was about to go with eternal blue, and then it was back to white. Just as we were signing docs with our first bank, the insurance quote suddenly increased, and so at the last minute we changed banks. Signed docs on a Friday and got the unit on Saturday.

Dashcam is #1. Any suggestions on a clean install? With our old cars, I used to be able to live with just letting the wire hang directly from the camera to the 12V outlet just below. I don't think I can do that given the location of the outlet on our M3. Would wireless units be worth it?

By the way, I bought a microtex duster based on one of the earlier posts (yours, I think)... it was leaving wax-like streaks!

Speaking of 12V, I'm just curious, is there a dashcam that uses a USB port to connect? Because I use a phone/tablet charger with multiple usb slots on my 12V socket and was wondering if that was possible since I think we only have one 12v socket, right?

I'll PM you contact of someone from the OVTeam who can guide w/ clean install thru an extra power source tapped thru the fusebox by the driver-side footwell. Cable should be routed via the headliner & LH A-Pillar.
The Microtex duster will initially leave streaks but will eventually get better. Just wipe the streaks off the glass. This is a good pre-wash habit. Shortens the chore.[emoji4]

You should leave the duster lying on
newspaper for 24-48 hours before using them to let the excess parafin wax be absorbed first to avoid streaks during the first few uses.
