Agree on the microfiber - but if you don’t like cleaning your towels, I soak the dropping in qd. Once goo like, spray the dropping off with water if handy. Then wipe with microfiber.

Hello, Baby Shark [emoji4] great code name ha, hehe.

Congrats on your new M3 [emoji4]

When I was planning to get/wait for the 1.5 soul red, I thought of having its paint coated to preserve the 16,800-Peso additional cost. Yeah, weird that I was thinking of spending to protect an expense. Hehe.

^same question as Baby Shark. Is the Brila glass coat worth the additional expense? Costs ~P20k if I remember correctly. But my SA wasn't too keen on having it done

How fo you clean your piano black gloss especially the one located in the shifter? Punasan muna ng damp microfiber cloth then proceed to wipe it with a dry microfiber after?

on the current topic, microfiber is ok pala for wiping duties on the body panels? i see it mostly recommended for glass. wouldn't microfiber damage top coat, or if you have it, wax?

Microfiber is actually recommended for paint because it picks up and hides the dirt inside the fibers instead of staying on the surface and scraping across the paint like chamois. Keep your touch light though especially when cleaning dark colors. They are more prone to swirls because they are softer than light colors.

JohnM is on point. Chamois is best for drying.

+1 here. I use microfiber (microtex plush - the blue color) to dry and microtex terry to buff. I limit the chamois to dry the glass parts. Better yet apply QD on wet surface and wipe off with microfiber, so far so good for me. No swirls marks and micro scratches so far unlike in my older car when i used to dry off with a chamois....good thing its light colored paint hence scratches and swirls barely noticeable.

I visited the weathertech website and couldn't find the option how to select the "Mexico fit". According to the local dealer here, there's currently no stock for the 2017 M3. I reckon the price tag is probably going to be more than 15k just for the floor liners. Really expensive!

One thing I noticed with the black-colored floor liners is that it gets really dirty quickly. Any recommendations for a good and not-so-expensive floor mats that can fit nicely with the 2017 M3?

That's why I opted for 3M Nomad-like mats and have them cut to fit the floor. For me it's more stylish and it doesn't look dirty as with the bucket-type floor mats.

True....Like go-to-guy, I've opted the hobo route. There are 3pc Nomad copies branded Ultimat in True Value, Handyman & Ace. Traced the stock mats using white crayon & cut em w/ scisdors. Oversized a bit to make em fit better.

There's our guy right there, Baby Shark. Mr. T is like a walking User's Manual and/or Yellow Pages [emoji4]

I opted for the silver M3 because it's easier to maintain; and cheaper, needless to say. Like polar said...

    BUT...

    REALLY...

I use chamois for drying... I'm getting worried that there might be wipe marks all over and I just don't notice them because the paint is silver

I learned to love the use of chamois because it tones my arms as well... and maybe karate in the near future.
