one more request. can you please post the picture of the whole vehicle (side view and front view) so that i could see if they look good.

    tnx pare
Here are the pics that my wife took this morning:

The stock tires didn't have enough grip on wet roads so we had to replace them with better tires. Size of the new set of tires is 265/70-16, an inch in diameter bigger and half an inch wider than the stock size.

Ako, I'm happy with the performance of my stock tires which is KHUMO 798. After over 26K KM eh good pa rin naman thread pattern at okay naman grip on wet roads. Kaya lang been maintaining 30 psi tire pressure lang. As for 265/70/16 tires, nabasa ko sa isang Sorento owner's site na it will fit without rubbing the tire wells. Tanong lang is what about it your running sa malubak na daan considering the long travel of Sorento's shock and spring set up.

Mine were fitted with Hankook as stock tires. I've experienced slipping on a wet curved portion of Halsema Highway. My wife experienced it twice so we decided to change the tires. We wanted an ATR and the closest size that was available is the 265/70. The mechanic at Servitek was actually worried that the tire will rub against the well and suggested that we change the mags to 15" so we can have more tire selections under the stock size. The least clearance is the space between the tire and the well next to the front bumper having only an inch clearance. Shocks and springs travel on a vertical motion so I guess there won't be a problem pag nalubak. Maybe on extreme off-roading dun na magkaproblema. I don't do extreme off-roading though :D.

G01, How's the FC and the steering feel with 265/70 tires? I like the steering feel of the sorento which is very soft especially when you do parking on tight spots. Gustong gusto rin ni wifey ang steering feel, sabi nya mas magaan pa sa civic namin.

I haven't driven yet the Sorento with the new tires. Will do when I get back home next month. My wife did not mention any changes to the feel of the steering wheel so I guess it is still the same.

Your Sorento is a 7-seater, right? How's the legroom at the 3rd row seat? I am thinking of having mine installed with a third row seat but I don't know if it is possible and if it can be done at any Kia outlet.

The 3rd row legroom is not that roomy for an adult but nice to have it as an option of seating 2 more when situation arise. Though in my unit, there is an option for the 2nd row seat to be adjusted up front if I need more legroom for the 3rd row seat. Also, getting in is not that difficult since the 2nd row automatically moves forward to create passage as soon as one of the 2nd row back seat support is folded. On your plan of installing a 3rd row seat, I think one problem you will be facing is the set up of your 2nd row seat. Some owners before mentioned that the 2nd row seat of a 5-seater Sorento is fixed so you can't adjust the 3rd row legroom. You might be able to get a 3rd row seat since I saw during the last PIMS'07 Sorento with 3rd row seat being displayed.

Thank you for your explanation on the set up of your Sorento's 3rd row seat. My Sorento's 2nd row seat is indeed fixed so unless it can be converted into an automatically sliding one like yours then I think I will just leave it as a 5-seater.

It's okay that's what this forum for di ba? I like the apperance of the new Sorento headlights compared sa 2004-2005 model. Infact, I was planning to upgrade to that type of headlights kaya lang I was told that it will not fit on my model. Pero sa states may nakapag upgrade kaya lang lots of DIY modifications.

I have a brochure of the 2005 model and comparing the pictures of the headlight to the pictures of my 2007 Sorento, there seemed to be no difference in the size and the shape of the headlight. Could it be the mounting that is different?

I have read in one of the Sorento site a post of one owner with 180,000 kms on his ODO using his Sorento climbing dunes, some off-roading and driving in heavy snow. It's a 2.5 CRDI just like what most of us have. It's really great to know na the Sorento CRDI can run that long without trouble inspite of his abuse
