Been to CFG and Autofocus, they don't have any idea of the Sunroof deflector, so I would say they don't have it... Hehe.. You might be better off buying from customsorento...

Yeah, I've received an e-mail from James of Customsorento that the sunroof deflector was shipped to manila yesterday together with Angel Eye Chrome Side Marker Lights. I'm sure it's a great upgrade to my Sorento

i've driven a lot of cars (most are from car rental when outside the country) but nothing really compares to the driving experience of a Sorento (hindi naman BMW ito, minsan mukhang X5 lang )

Gripes: Colombian Motors is still selling it's "aging" crdi units. Ayaw pa i-introduce yung VGT version. So far 2 lang kaming mga VGT owners ang nakita ko dito sa Manila.

Walang dual zone aircon. Ang init!

Sana palakihin nila yung size ng Sorrie.

Where did you get your VGT Sorento? Unless if you have the third row, then a dual zone aircon is needed..

Lucky you naka VGT kana with 175hp rating. Bilis siguro ihataw ng VGT Sorento kasi normal CRDI na Sorento rated at 140hp lang hirap na ang ibang 3.0 CRDI na makina. SUre kung pinalaki ang Sorento, may dual zone aircon sya. Kaya pina dark tint ko unit ko para di tumagos ang init.

baka malapit na kasi yung Grand Starex VGT na yung nilabas dito, if I am not mistaken the same VGT CRD engine are used by both.

Pero kahit na lumabas yung VGT eh malamang I cannot upgrade, masaya naman ako sa sorento ko kahit na 140 PS lang.

I have read somewhere in the net that the next sorento version will probably come out 2009-2010 and it will be bigger similar to Sta Fe.

Share ko lang itong experience ko maybe you can relate:
whenever i drive my sorento feeling ko ang bagal ng mga sasakyan na kasabay ko. Siguro perception lang kasi matulin tiyaka mabilis talaga yung acceleration because of the massive torque.

Baka you're referring to the KIA Mesa derived from that concept SUV that KIA unveiled last 2005 autoshow sa europe. Sayang at di nila ni put into production ang concept kasi malupit ang dating nito(2005 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS)). Para kasi ang pangit ng Mesa na lalabas nila dahil kaya may mga protective cover pa against the spy shots takers. We'll see when it's officially unveiled.

Hehehe... dali ka talagang matempt humataw pag Sorento drive mo . Ganda ng acceleration at maganda din shifting ng trans niya giving you confidence to overtake pag kailangan. Saka lakas ng disc/disc brake set nya.

I think sorento or SF, di ka magsisi. Both are amazing vehicles. I also decided between the 2 cars. But the reasons I chose sorento are:
1. fits my needs - i don't need 7 seater kasi may carnival ako
2. sabi ng wife ko medyo mukhang mamahilin yung SF pero yung sorento machong macho. I really like the curves of the sorento, it is a good looking car. nagiging mas gwapo tuloy ako ng 1 tabo kapag gamit ko ito
3. maganda yung transmission - 5AT tapos adapts to your driving style. It is also accelarate smoothly
4. I find the interior of sorento to be better
5. konti lang sorento sa daan - parang may exclusivity.

maluwag din naman yung back seat. one time i just decided to seat in the back (ako kasi lagi driver) and I was surprised with the space and comfort. Kaya pala ayaw na umupo ng misis ko sa harap (mukha tuloy ako driver)

just an update. i had the 30T kms PMS yesterday and the total bill was 4275 pesos. medyo mahal ang labor - 1900 pesos. they replaced the air filter.

it's still a very good ride. ganda talaga ng makina plus the form. sometimes, i just dont like its boaty-type ride. mas gusto ko sana medyo firm. nasanay na kasi ako sa revo ko. but that's just me. cruising in the highway tho, it's superb.

How about the differential, both front and rear, have you replaced it or just topped it?

i think it was not replaced because the list of services performed on the vehicle and materials used did not indicate this. as for topping it up, maybe, but i really dont know.

I was reading the manual again and it is interesting to note that there is a section on off road driving.

i also have fun watching videos of sorento in youtube especially the off road driving. It really get abused yet it seems to be perfectly designed for such driving. I am amazed on what our sorento is capable of without me having to do it.

My other acquaintance had a problem with his sorento. Basta lang tumirik out of the blue. Akala namin cold start lang or yung battery but when a Kia mechanic checked it via computer eh yung rail sensor/rail assembly na pala yung problema. Is this how sensitive the Kia's assembly is? Na repair na last month pero wala pang isang buwan of using ayun na naman tumirik na naman. May pumunta uling Kia mechanic at ayun na naman, rail problem uli. My friend was soo pissed off that he demanded the unit to be replaced or at least the engine. Kasi noong na purchase niya yun in early 2004 ang dami nang problema that even I noticed.

1)ang usok niya parang isuzu engine. Black smoke at nakakahilo ang amoy.
2)yung baho ng usok naabot pa sa loob ng aircon eventhough naka recirculate na yung setting ng A/C.
3)isa lang ang binigay sa kanya na key. Diba dapat 1 pair ang susi?
4)yung manual para sa stereo niya di pa binibigay hanggang ngayon.
5)pag uwi ng Sorento niya from it's numerous repairs over the past 2 years doon mo lang ma no-notice na maraming mga maliit na hairline scratches sa body. Di kasi kita sa una dahil naka shade at nasa loob ka ng bldg pero paglabas mo at nasa highway ka ng tanghaling tapat kitang kita.
6)di nagbibigay ng receipt ang casa na yun.
7)My friend purchased a BMW grille from them sabi ng casa 25k DAW and he had to SURRENDER his stock grille para may discount. Walang discount at walang resibo na naipakita. Called them half a year later at ganun pa rin ang presyo. Diba when you purchase a unit you own ALL of it? Odi why did my friend have to give up his grille for a non-existent discount?

Kia Sorento is a great SUV kaso lang may mga tao na dishonest at unprofessional. Buti naka warranty pa yung sasakyan till Dec. this year.
