I agree with hominid. Just enjoy your Sorento for the mean time. Importante eh enjoy ka naman sa performance at wala kang problem sa Sorento. Sulitin mo muna then baka di mo na masyado isipin ang resale value katapos.

I'm very satisfied with my Sorento. Came directly from S.Korea. Tweaked for 175hp and 410nm of torque. I also purchased the K&N filter from sir SaberRider. You'll notice the difference sa hatak agad. Highly recommended si sir Saber kasi yung mga binebenta sa Banawe eh may kickback pang napakalaki sometimes double or almost triple the selling price of the filter itself. I put my name on the line alang-alang kay sir Saber. Thanks for the K&N filter sir, orig!!! P3,500 lang!!!

Your Sorentos are really nice! I have been looking around for a good (used) one with the 3rd row seats (saw gregg_g's) to replace my van, but all I have seen are only 5 seaters. I saw a 2007 with reasonable price but again, NO 3rd row seat. Anyone who knows where to have the 3rd row seats done in Manila? I have contacted the local KIA dealers and seem they have not done any on their units.
I am new to this forum. I would really appreciate your help or leads, please.
I also read in this forum that if the unit purchased is a 5 seater, then the 2nd row seats can't be adjusted to give bigger legroom at the 3rd row. Can we find locally a 7 seater version of the Sorento? Am looking at a slightly used Sorento with the 3rd row seat. Nice Vehicle, I must admit.

fuel consumption on our diesel sorento 4x4 is 8.5kms/liter in the city and 9.5-10 highway.

to other owners, ano FC nyo sa highway? we're expecting more kms per liter pa kasi on the highway pero somehow yun lang talaga nakukuha namin.

used for the foglights of the sorento. 10k is temp and price is just P5,000.

Sayang kababalik ko lang sa jobsite. Kung sa pinas lang ako kukunin ko yan to compliment with my Neon Angel Eye headlights. Can you hold on to it 'till January 18 or 19? Yan kasi expected dates na nasa bahay na ako. Bakit nga pala hindi mo na lang install sa unit mo?

just had the 35t kms checkup yesterday. bill was 3715.
6.4T something sana if i did not have the new aircon filter removed and replaced with the old one.
the KIA mechanic said that the maintenance schedule says replacement of the aircon filter is every 5t kms.

tanong ko lang guys, talaga bang kailangan magpalit ng aircon filter every 5t kms? when i inspected kasi the old one, di pa madumi. i think ni-replace ko sya during the 20T kms check late last year. surprisingly, during the 25t kms and 30t kms check ay hindi naman nila pinalitan. maybe because i just requested them to blow pressurized air on it to get the dust off.

Jrln, sa unit ko which is 28K na ang mileage, twice pa lang ako nagpalit ng aircon filter. Pag feel ko na mahina na ang blow ng fan at cooling, pinalilinisan ko na lang uli ang aircon filter. Malaking tulong kasi ang aircon filter in keeping our interior lalo na ang roof upholstery clean. Sorento ko hindi na interior detailing since nabili ko.

ah ok. sa 40t kms check ko nalang papalitan. oh no, yun ang check na palit na naman ang fuel filter which costs so much!
ok pa rin naman ang interior ng sorento namin except for some portions of the lower dashboard dahil sa maduming kamay ng KIA mechanic during maintenance checks. will clean it during the long weekend with a mild cleanser.
and by the way, KIA replaced the clock in our unit under warranty because it was malfunctioning.

I had my PMS couple days ago sa Kia Pasig (not the one in Frontera, medyo tago ito malapit sa Marcos Hi way na). It was my first time to try their service but never again.

nagasgas nila yung Sorento ko, mga 1 inch pero medyo malalim (passenger door side). The guard who did the initial check admitted it was new, then the mechanics, supervisors biglang nawala na parang bula. I was demanding the manager to just at least tell me why it happened and how, I am not interested to know who (i leave it to them). Wala matinong sagot pero di sila maka excuse na lumang gasgas na yun kasi yung guard at yung hawak ko na pre inspection document wala yung gasgas.

I demanded na they need to rectify it, sabi nila ibalik na lang daw ulit. Wala man lang matinong nag bigay kung ano gagawin nila. kaya pinalagay ko na lang sa resibo na they committed to rectify the damage and I will get back to them after new year.

I remained cool the whole time baka mamya kung ano pa gawin sa kotse ko. Then the bill came, I was surprised it was about P4,500? Malaki ito ha considering na they even have a promo:
1. 15% discount on parts and labor
2. free engine oil (all 9 liters)
3. Pero yung parts na binili ko eh air filter, aircon filter and oil filter.

Again, di na lang ako nag salita. pero sabi ko never again ako babalik dito and kung may chance ako to share my experience with other kia owners, I will. Ang di nila alam, halos lahat ng car ko eh Kia and dami ko kilala rin na kia owners.

Christmas naman kaya hindi na ako nagreklamo.

Aircon filter, noong nakita ko medyo maitim na kaya di ko na pina blow, palit na lang. Ngayon malamig ulit. I think 1,200 yung aircon filter, mas mahal pa sa air filter na mas malaki pero at P600 lang.

OT lang ng konti:
Di pa natapos yung malas ko, day after yung bagong getz ng asawa ko binanga sa parking ng isang mall. Aruy, wala pang 4 months old yun. laki ng dent sa driver side door, pero working naman lahat - power window, power mirror, kahit pag bukas ng pinto maayos naman.

CRV bumangga yung platic bumper. Di nga nag chip yung paint ng getz konting gasgas lang pero malilim yung yupi.

The other driver admitted fault and maayos naman kausap. Again, siguro character building na rin, i remained cool considering na buntis pa wife ko. Awa ng diyos ayos naman wife ko (siya pa nag drive noong nabangga ha). Hassle lang kasi xmas holiday na tapos dami pa pinapakuha sa akin na document. Ano na nabangga ako pa naabala. I check daw ng insurance ng bumangga sa amin sa Dec 26 (mapfre insular, sana madali kausap itong insurance na ito). ewan ko lang kung kailan aayusin, sana before jan 2 para magamit na ulit pag pasok

Gusto ko nga palit na lang buong door para mabilis din ayusin considering na almost new pa yung car. Ayoko kasi iwan mataggal car sa casa kasi dudumi interior at di mo alam mga milagro na ginagawa ng mga mekaniko sa kotse mo while in their custody.

I've seen Richard and Rovic do miracles on very expensive Eurocars with large dents.
