Crossing a knee-deep water shouldn't be a problem at all. There were actually 2 rivers that the Sorie crossed. The first one is around 20" deep and no problems at all after crossing it, even the cabin was dry. The second one (which is seen on the video) is more than 30" deep. There is no other way out of the river except going back to where I came from so I did a total of 4 river crossings .

better have your wirings check sir. they might have come into contact with water and might short the relays. i recently had my ecu reprogrammed because ants invaded the fuse backs which caused the relay to malfunction.

guys! we will be getting the 2009 sorento. meron ba itong abs at srs? ano ba makina nito? di kasi updated mga specs sa nakikita ko. 1.6m pero wala daw ABS at isang airbag lang daw? luxury SUV pero walang abs?

Suysuy, buy the Sorento VGT version na with 175 hp rating. Yon nga lang di ko lang alam kung it's with ABS at dual airbags na siya

Congrats sa bagong Sorento mo suysuy. Di naman problema kung hindi ka naka paghintay ng 2010 model Sorento since pwede sa KIA ang trade-in. Kaya ako medyo di ko masyado ginagamit Sorento ko para di masyado tumaas ang ODO kasi balak ko trade-in pag labas ng 2010 model.
As for kung VGT siya o hindi, I think malalaman mo yan sa configuration ng turbo niya. Pero dapat alam yan ng dealer mo kung VGT o hindi.

hehe yun nga tinrade in namin ang rio namin. kaya eto napalitan ng sorento haha. maganda siya. but im a little doubtful about its crash worthiness and safety. walang abs eh. i cant see the abs light sa dash.

Davao pala si suysuy kaya di ma sure kung VGT model yong nabili nila. Mahirap kasi maski na ang Wheels E.Rod ng magtanong ako di rin nila alam kung VGT o hindi.

yup all discs. kaso nakapagtataka lang talaga dahil wala siyang ABS kahit luxury suv pa naman at 1.6m ito. iisa lang din ang airbags. well, di naman din ako gagamit nito hehe. its my mom. mabilis pa naman siya magpatakbo hehe.

trade in nalang ito next year kapag lumabas na ang all new sorento!

nope.. mechanically, mas malakas ang drum brakes compared sa disc brakes!! kaya nga po na develop ang brake assist or vacuum boosters sa brakes due to the use of disc brakes mahina kasi yan without power assist.. advantage ang disc brakes for better brake control of the vehicle...drum brakes are also placed on the rear since nandyan madalas ang heavy load..

OT: drum brake pads tends to "wedge" on the drum making it prone to brake lock..but this wedging action also provides additional power on the drum brakes that is why drum brakes have smaller pistons compared to disc brakes. ABS will help solve this problem and avoid the drum brakes to lock..

Kung VGT, malakas yan. 170hp / 395Nm * 2000 rpm
I don't think na mag lo lock ang brakes dahil walang ABS. I'm sure may safety system iyan na naka install to prevent it from locking. Nakalimutan ko lang yong tawag don. Korean engineer ang nagsabi kay saberrider ( sorento owner din ) ng mag visit sila sa selected KIA dealers to conduct check-up ng mga KIA owned cars.
