It has power seats, power retract side mirrors, power moonroof, 3rd seats, climate control, full leather, wood trim, hands free cellphone controls at the steering wheel (for samsung phones only), etc.
Where are the surplus located? I have already test drive a few diff. SUV's but abroad, I believe the SUV's sa PINAS are different, diesel eng. are not even available abroad, I can overlook the cheap interior.
I did call Toyota dealer regarding Fortuner, it will be 300+K more, what turns me off is waiting 5-6 months or more.
I'm eyeing the KIA w/ tag price of 1.310 asking price but I don't want to wait 2-3 months.
I never see any advertised used Sorento so that might mean something good.

TLX and Limited Sorento are rurplus vehicles. and also some CRDi Starex being sold at 700T to 750T. and its not readily available at 2nd hand car dealers. maybe because the price is rather high. but for a year old vehicle. that's a good value.

The Sorrento diesel model is very popular in Europe and I think most buyers there are generally satisfied with its performance. Locally, you would have to consider the quality of after-sales service (which I gather from mbt is crap) and resale value. Amongst us Pinoys, Kia still has not reached the stature of the Toyota and Honda brand names. Hence, be prepared to be take a big hit in terms of depreciation.

These two issues aside, I say GO FOR IT! The papers today say that the Supreme Court decision on the EVAT law might come out next week so you don't have much time left before the dreaded price increase. :jump2:

I called a dealer yesterday and tried to deal, he is supposed to e-mail me a price pero ala naman. He he he!!! OK, I made up my mind to buy one w/out testdriving the EX diesel to beat the EVAT law, kaya lang dito pa ako sa abroad ( darn), if I get my cousin to put IN a deposit for me and pay the balance when I get home and after registration, OK kaya un sa dealer? Are they willing to register it w/ full payment on delivery? Any comment or experince in such matter?
