    Hi Jeanpierre,

In the 1st pic posted by Lensio, the HU is still there only transferred at the bottom, removing the 2 multipurpose trays... So our steering wheel controls is still usable..hehehehe.. Even me, I would be willing to remove those trays in place for the transfer of our HU and with the installation of the LCD...

    hi everybody! happy new year!

we got to drive the sorento to sariaya quezon last week. we had to take a rough road from the highway that leads to a gawad kalinga community.
i'm extremely pleased with the ride quality of the sorento on the said dirt road - no squeaks and rattles.

but compared to my revo, the sorento is more bouncy and wobbly. could it be the bigger tires?

and my major complaint about our sorento still holds: no third row seats. i'm forced to use my gas-guzzler revo whenever there are more than 6 of us that need to travel in one vehicle together.

    Hi jrln,

Yep, I noticed the bouncy ride too, comparing it to my previous ride which is a local pajero 97. I think Altec (another cebuano tsikoteer) was able to test ride both the V6 and the crdi version, and he noticed a stiffer ride on the V6 compared to the crdi...

Mine got third row seats, but its a little bit small for adults, most of the time, its my kids who use it or its folded to give way for the baggage...

May all of us have a very Prosperous New Year!!

jrln, my friend owns a Sorento and been gone with him on long trips a couple of times before. I remember him reducing the tire pressure to 26-28 psi if I'm not mistaken before tackling rough roads and seems to help reducing the bounciness of the ride. Yeah, it's a bit bouncy in rough roads but it's great driving it sa highway.

g-shock, recommend ko MG Infinity sa SM City. Ferdie ang name ng nag install ng ampli at subwooper sa Sorento ko. HU ko walang sub wooper outlet din pero nagawan nya ng paraan. Pwede rin nyang convert CD player to play VCD if you like so screen na lang kulang. Just tell him how much is your budget and he'll suggest what will fit.

ours is set at 34psi because that's what's posted on the door. did not bother to reduce it when we went through the trail.

it's really great at highway driving especially 120kph up: very good acceleration and seems effortless for the engine.

the bouncy/wobbly ride is quite noticeable driving slowly over humps. but maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.

we're getting around 9km/liter mixed city/highway 50/50 split with many hours of the city drives spent idling due to heavy traffic.

jrln, 34 psi is to high for rough roads. Buti na lang di ka na flat tire.
Maganda talaga ang takbo nya sa highway. I've posted here before that my friend tried 180 on his Sorento sa star highway papuntang batangas madaling araw pero people here won't believe it. Anyway, di ko na problema yon basta ako ni share ko yong experience ko riding a Sorento which is 100% true. At that speed, engine sound is still minimal. Yan ata ang advantage ng may 5th gear, less engine sound pag nasa peak ka na at nasa 5th gear na ang transmission mo.

Did you buy the unit with 3rd row seats or was it installed after purchase?

Yeah, they have vast and good stuffs for Sorento. Problem is, you need to have a paypal account. Paypal payment does not include Philippines on their list of countires that can avail such payment. Wonder why? Buti pa india at Pakistan pwede sila. K-spec.com and Teamfalconracing.com pwede payment by credit card.

that's a little strange. are'nt the two versions supposed to have the same suspension?

i dont mind having cramped third row seats because my kids can sit there.

d ko lang alam whats on their mind "may be they are wondering KIA?"(JEAN PIERRE)
NATANONG MO BA SA KASA KUNG ILANG UNIT NA NABENTA NILA FOR 2005 .
