Hi Jeanpierre,

Let's try asking those who got local units whether they have filters too.. Regarding the Jack, mine is the standard hydraulic jack, this may be a pain especially if the tires are fully deflated, so placing them in ideal positions beneath the car could be a problem .

pardon my ignorance, how do you get to see the filter of the sorento's evaporator? under the glove compartment? are there screws that need to be removed?

Before taking the filter out. You have to remove the glove box, by yanking it out, but be careful, you might break the plastic hinges, then after that there are visible screws where you can unscrew.. just check on this link, got several pictures - http://www.sorentosite.com/forum/sho...tid=880&page=2

Hi Sorento_tlx,

Yes its an alpine 2din, but I am not sure if it has an rca out, but let me check with the manual, although its in Korean but probably, I can just check out the diagram...

thanks for the input. i'm a little hesitant about taking the glove box out. will probably try this much later as our unit is just 4 months old. malinis pa naman siguro yun.

Just checked the diagram, and there is no rc input but there are two ports-one is an 8pin and the other is a 16pin... But I think these are designed for alpine specific accessories....

Akala ko ako lang nahirapan magposition ng jack. As far as the evaporator filter is concerned, I haven't cleaned mine yet. It's been 1yr 4 months na rin.I might try to do it this time pag uwi ko.

Mine got the Alpine 2DIN HU din without RCA output. But the installer managed to modify it and installed an amplifier. Been using the ampli for nearly 8 months now no problemo. I didn't change the original 6 speakers since it sounds good naman. Just added a 12" sub to get more base. It sounds great for less than 10K budget. :cheers:

Had an unfortunate, I parked my vehicle in my usual parking space, then when I got back I noticed there were paint specs/dust because nearby somebody was spraypainting the wall. Although its not really visible, but when touching the surface, it would seem rough. I tried applying carwaxes but to no avail, its still there. Do you know of something that can remove this, without damaging the original paint clearcoat... Thanks in Advance.

Try mo kaya pa 3-step detailing. I did it sa unit ko to remove the light scratches. Minsan kasi maalikabok tapos susulat-sulatan ng mga kids...yon gasgas pagkatapos. It took half day din for this job.

Sa mga Sorento owners na naghahanap ng accessories sa ride nila, I have read sa Sorentoclub Phils na sa KIA Quezon Ave marami silang benta ba accessories. Even full body kit made by A-Toy is also available.

Yeah, you're right. Parang nakakatakot na considering the fact na it's system is with the computer box na and not like with other diesel using the old tech. At least, may idea tayo na kaya di ba at di tulad ng iba na puro lang porma...he he he.
Well, it's my time ulit to enjoy my Sorento kasi pauwi na ako today. Tuloy na trip ko to panay island via batangas, mindoro and Caticlan, Boracay. Inuman na naman etooo.
