"ganon ba talaga ang carnival just to change the clutch e kailangan pang ibaba ang engine?
what else should i have checked out if ever i do have them take down the engine?"
Utakabo: Thanks for the info on the talyer, it just seems a little too far for me.
Kenzie: I just had my clutch disk and pressure plate replaced but mine is manual transmission. Oo baba talaga engine. My mechanic just made it hang without removing the engine support #3 (the biggest and the one on top). Sobrang bilib siya sa pang ilalim sobrang bigat daw. While down there we looked at the other engine supports and we replaced 3. And yes, I was from antipolo and just spend a lot of time in the Cainta area for one reason or another. I think I will skip utakabo's talyer since it is all the way up in Antipolo proper. For the clutch this is what I spent:
Parts from Goodgear:
Pressure Plate: 2,400; Bearing 80; Release
bearing assy: 500; Clutch Disk: 2,600
Eng Support # 2&4: 1,000 ea; Eng Sup # 1: 800
Labor :
2,500
I spent about 8,080 only for the clutch alone. You might be interested in my mechanic if you find it cheap. His shop is near junction. It is a little shabby but I meet clients of his coming all the way from Makati and San Juan. I even met one who brought his car there because one big talyer along ortigas extn. gave up on his car and just recommended him. In my very humble opinion he is really good and cheap

. He used to work for Mitsu and specializes in A/T. He has done a Carnival A/T supposedly brought to him by KIA Wheels themselves and he has the complete A/T service manual to show for it. Admittedly, though, he has not done much work on Sedonnas.
