    Pareho tayo ng sound na naririnig. Wheels SA says it can be cured by adjusting the valve tappets. Pero I think related siya sa crankshaft bolt problem.

    Tnx po sir OTEP nung mbili ko po kc ung Picanto wala po un tapos kahapon lang biglang nadinig ko na po ung kakaibang sound na un na parang pumapagalpal o ung sound na umiikot na mis-align.

    ummm, kasi po nagpost kayo ng picture po ng yellow picanto dati, san po ninyo binili yun? =D kasi po sa signet mandaluyong po and sa delta marikina po walang yellow eh ='(

    FYI:

    the after sales service at Kia Quezon Avenue is very good- considering I did not buy my car from them.

    early this year I also noticed a sound coming from my engine compartment which I traced down to the acu compressor. at that time I did not know the trouble since the car acu's cooling power stayed the same.

    i brought it to Signet EDSA where I bought the car from but they were still closed for the Christmas holidays. so I drove up to Kia Q.A. which was open.

    No problem with warranty at all. They diagnosed the car, found the compressor needing replacement... and that's exactly what they did. After two days, my car was sporting a brand new acu compressor. My Picanto's aircon cooling power is as strong as ever, just like the stock compressor. They didn't charge me with anything. I even had free coffee while I was there.

    they are friendly and accomodating. the next time I went there was to have my door fixed (loose nuts on the lock.) again, on warranty.

    I finally decided to have my oil changed there also (35,000km) since they give you a choice of mineral, semi-synthetic, or fully-synthetic oil for your car without affecting warranty. This is not possible in Signet EDSA who stick to mineral oil only.

    Thank You Very Much Sir CtrlAltDel for your reply, dun ko na lang din po dadalahin ung picanto ko pag nag 7,500km PMS kc mejo hndi ko po gusto ang serbisyo ng Kia Commonwealth lahat po ng nabanggit nyo at ng iba pang picanto owners d2 sa forum na pinalitan sa kanila ay papatignan ko din sa Kia Quezon Ave.

    Isa nga po pala sa napansin ko sa Picanto ko ay mejo humina ang aircon unlike nung bago pa ung Picanto ko. Isa di po cguro un sa papatignan ko sa kanila.

    Yung yellow ng Hyundai Getz kulay saging talaga. Yung sa Picanto yellow-green ang hitsura niya sa mata ko. Nasa Tsikot galleries ko yung pic ng picanto.

    hindi po.
    red yung picanto ko.
    gusto ko sana white or blue.
    gusto ng wife ko orange.
    so we both agreed on red.

    white + orange = red

    parang mali yata yung

    hahaha ganun po ba? =P actually, dahil hindi po ganun katingkad ang yellow picanto, my next choice was really red, kasi nags-standout din po ang color niya =D and cool and cute tignan! =D ( pero muka nga pong mali yung white + orange = red hahaha joke lang po =D )

    opo! parang sports car red po kasi eh! so ang cool po tignan! sayang lang kasi i had my eyes talaga sa yellow eh, and nakakatuwa kasi yung advertisement sa kia.uk (yata) kasi yung yellow yung naiiba, kasi tipong siya lagi yung naiiwan na car, and siya yung nabubunggo and stuff, so yun nga po, the yellow stands out, kung matingkad lang sana siya eh *sigh*

    Engine died again. Wheels E. Rod claims that I should use Velocity only. WTF? Ano ito Porsche?

    I'm going to contact Kia Quezon Ave. or Signet na lang. Wala akong mapapala sa Wheels E.Rod.

    I went to Kia Quezon Ave. (FEMAC) today. Though I'm still not sure if they have cured the stalling problem (I'm still observing), the way they handled my claim was very good.

    I got there around 8am. Explain to the SA (Jude) what the problem was. He firsts checks the service bulletin re: crankshaft bolts and fuel canisters to see if my unit was part of the recall (it isn't). Next, he asks a bunch of questions then we check the vehicle. Does the usual initial tests. Couldn't elicit the stalling. Goes back to his desk, writes a job order. At the bottom of the page, printed in huge letters was: "NOTE: CUSTOMER WAITING."

    Within a few minutes, a Kia technician arrives with the diagnostic computer. Two of them, and their supervisor were working on my car. However, I can only view them from the customer's lounge (which was also very comfy). They were fiddling with the diagnostic computer, checking underhood sensors, etc.

    Afterwards, they do a roadtest. When they come back, they wash the car before finally turning it over to me. They claim to have corrected an error code on the ECU. While waiting, I also signed up for the PICANTO CLUB they have at the dealership (it was free!).

    My only rant is they did not document the work done on my warranty booklet. But hey, at least they did something. Unlike Wheels E. Rod who wants me to leave the vehicle for a day or two on the first visit, then advises me to use only Shell Velocity on my second (sheesh...).

    Kudos to Kia Quezon Ave.

    yup. ok ang kia quezon ave, in general.
    most of us at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/picanto-ph/
    have our picantos serviced there.

    yun nga lang yung vibration sa steering wheel
    ko when going over uneven roads and yung
    pag-vibrate ng muffler ko, hindi nila na-address.
    anyway, annoying lang naman siya and rarely
    lang naman.

    btw, MAY EB ANG PICANTO CLUB SA MAY 20,
    SATURDAY sa BLUEWAVE, 4 TO 6 PM.
    kung free kayo, drop by.

    Medyo may parang ganyan din ako (steering wiggle). Pero tolerable naman. Baka dahil sa tires lang (medyo low profile kasi).

    Nagsign din ba kayo sa Picanto Club sa dealer? May membership card ata. hehehe.

    Sorry to hear about your predicament, sir Otep. I hope Kia QA really fixed whatever it was that was wrong with your car. Bagong-bago pa naman.

    Larcroft, milkshake and other Picanto drivers. Good luck po sa inyong EB. due to reasons which are of course avoidable, hindi ako maka join, hehehe. (We have company outing on that day=)
