i hope they could also include a full size "see thru net" rear headrest.

CD player, power locks and keyless entry. i think manual crank windows are just ok for this kind of car.

Upmarket models use rear headrests similar to the Toyota Fortuner (aka 'helmet type') which can be lowered into the seatback when not in use and does not require removal to fold rear seats. The Getz has also changed over to this type of rear headrestraint.

MP3 is now standard on the Picanto DLX. As well as central lock and remote entry with anti-theft. I have not seen the new 'base' model yet.

Heads up lang for all first batch picanto owners (sept 2004). You know that the battery will be giving up when your picanto won't charge the battery with headlights,radio or aircon on while driving.

SInce I am in Singapore hindi ko maexplain sa inyo because this is how my wife experienced the problem. One morning two weeks ago ayaw mag start so push start ok na. pag may ac,radio on even after long drive pag off hindi kaya mag start. you will wait for hours before battery can recover and start
pag walang accessories while driving kaya pang istart.

So punta sa signet at battery replacement ang solution. Pero wait ka ng two weeks bago dumating yung replacment battery.

So first batch owners. Check your batteries just in baka itirik kao sa alanganing lugar. at mahirap --- walang available locally

Yung sa Besta 2.7 exotic looking din ang battery (ibang klase ang shape) pero kasya naman ordinary battery dun sa tray.

mga picanto owners baka my gusto sa inyo mag buy ng orig oem third brake lights ng picanto 1,2t lng 4apat na lng natitira wala po nito sa mga kia dealers sa pinas ito po yung sa rear windshield nakalagay sa taas po ng glass txt na lng po for faster transactions

May nabasa ako sa ibang picanto forums (Singapore) na pinapalitan nila ng 2sm at yung base ng battery to fit the 2sm.

Guys, pwedeng dumaan dito at magtanong pls, ang picanto ko bigla na lang mag rev-up ang engine at pag pitikin ang selenyandor mawala, pero babalik uli.
Anong problema kaya nito, nakadalawang balik na ito sa dealer sa cebu at within a week andiyan na naman ang problema.

never had this problem. Ang alam ko pag malamig pa makina mataas pa minor. At kung minsan pag pumepreno ako natatapakan ko yung gas pedal sa laki ng tsinelas/paa ko. Baka wala lang sa timing. yung local dealer jan dapat mag ayos jan kasi its under warranty pa.

Mataas siya kapag malamig ang engine, kapag sumipa ang compressor, kapag-nag-kickdown [a/t].

Normal running na ang makina pati temps at engaged ang air-con at bigla2x na lang magrev-up sa walang dahilan.
Dalhin ko na lang uli to sa dealer ngayon, mabuti pa....

Hindi mo ba napansin kung nag-eengage ang compressor? It engages and disengages automatically without driver intervention.

Gaano ba kataas ang RPM? Pag sa compressor maliit lang difference ng rev up. Mga more or less siguro 100 RPM lang. kung sobrang taas more than 100RPM may problem na talaga.

Pano yun, habang naka idle at di ka nakatapak sa gas pedal, biglang tumataas rev? O pag nakatapak ka tapos pag binitawan mo yung gas pedal e naka taas padin ang rev?

Baka naman simple accelerator cable problem lang yan. That is kung di sensor type yung accel pedal ng Picanto.

by the way guys, nakalimutan ko pala ikwento sa inyo na may nakita na ako na picanto na taxi about a month ago.. color white sya sa may bandang elliptical circle sa tapat ng city hall.. kukunan ko sana ng pic kaso, lam nyo naman sa cirlce medyo pa-curve yung road, eh pa-kanan ako going to kalayaan.. hehehe.. gulat tlga ako dun sa taxi

share ko lang .....friend ko kukuha na ng picanto na approve na siya 100K DP 48 mos to pay orange ata na color yung manual deluxe sa kanya.yung lang kasi nag kasaya sa tight budjet nya over avanza vios sentra jimmy aveo getz. close call for the sentra 1.3 kaya lang mataas ung monthly 14K, compared sa picanto na 10K a month... signet las pinas

spontaneous instruction..

lets say you are at the cainta junction, going to sta lucia mall (imelda/felix avenue, right?), cross to the other side of marcos highway (now at tuason avenue), go straight until you come to an intersection before blue wave marikina (it will be at the left, diagonal from where you should be), turn right (now at sumulong highway) follow the highway until you see the kia marikina building at your right. Their building will be the first you see on the right after taking the that right turn from the blue wave intersection..
