hello,

kung 2 din na ang panel mo, no need for custom panel. kung 1-din lang siya currently, you'll have to change panels.

i have 1 din panel, pero sa baba niya may space na good as 1 din, possible kaya na tangalin na lang yung gitna para maging 2 din?

if ever, magkano kaya aabutin ko sa custom panel? salamat!

yup, pwede naman. but you run the risk of it turning out pretty bad kung di marunong gumagawa. i guess you just have to get assurance that the final output would look as clean as an OEM panel.

no need to buy new panel for 2 din. from 2004 to early 2008 picanto model.

pwede tanggalin yung gitna to accommodate 2 din. all 04-08 model pwede.

1.2 ba yung tinignan mo? i had the same dilemma between choosing the i10 and the Picanto (same 1.2 spec models). i found the Picanto better than the i10 in the looks and "finish" department. they're technically the same car anyway. i opted to get the better (albeit pricier) picanto just because it looked better. i feel that i'd have a LOT of regrets if i got the i10 just because it was cheaper. maiinggit lang ako sa mga magagandang Picanto sa daan haha! also, be sure to get the m/t variants, getting a small car with an a/t tranny means bad F/C.

I also don't think it's fair to compare an Eon to the Picanto haha!

gherule, yup, that's what i picked up on during my conversations with the after-sales people in the service station. sila sumasalo ng reklamo dahil sa after-sales nga sila.

here are some articles i found via topgear Philippines. none of the articles mentioned the recall although there are issues with published vs actual FCs:

i think majority of the issue lies with the first batch of picantos? the common denominator in poor FC is the 1.0 AT variant i think. i haven't heard any complaints with the MT users.

anybody else have info? i think the best way to handle this is to talk to Kia..

From friends with the 1.0 MT, the economy is okay. And when we did the test drive, we were able to get 18.6 km/l in mixed driving. 60% highway.

4AT, aircon, small engine... don't ever expect good economy from that combo.

im about to trade my honda vti 96 1.6 vtec (plus 20k ako) to picanto 2k6 mt 1.0

my reason? FC

my estimate daily travel is 33kms.my 500php(9+ litres) umaabot ng 106kms 3days at most.city driving mostly ac on.off kung gabi..

mas makakatipid ba ako if i go for picanto?
insights naman po.deal or no deal? salamat...

makakatipid for a little. average is 15km/L. but mas ok naman sakin ang VTI 96 keysa picanto. 10 years younger nga lang. at first sa tingin ko mabibitin ka sa picnto lalo na sa arangkada. from 1.6 L to 1.1 L 2006 picanto. hahabulin mo yung hatak ng civic specially sa stop and go traffic. at lalabas parang magastos sa gas. ganun din kasi ako dati. hanggang masanay ka na mauhuhuli kana pag go na.

for old picanto owners who already overhauled their engine? what made you decide to overhaul? saan at magkano? anong performance before and after overhaul? comparable ba sa bago par overhaul? top overhaul lang o whole?

well it's your decision really. ok lang naman sakin 2006 picanto. mura lang naman maintenance. but honda is honda. and kia is only kia.

gherule, ang ganda! san mo nabili and magkano? ganda din ng mags mo, sporty na sporty ang dating.. pareho pala tayong puti ang picanto. ganda ng contrast ng 2 mags natin and how it affects the car

maraming salamat hive! medyo mahal nga lang. pinaorder ko sa kasa. waiting pa ako sa front mud guards para sa may side skirt. regarding sa emblems. meron daw sa seiring sa araneta or sa genuine car accessories sa fb kaso wala ung k emblem na gusto ko. baka online na lang ako bibili. any update about sa picanto mo? pinag iisipan ko din yung oem side tweeter online. happy holidays pala sa inyong lahat.

gherule, thanks sa info tinignan ko ang genuine car accessories page sa FB and meron na silang NEFD kit for the Picanto. i was expecting it to be plastic pero Fiberglass lang daw ang meron sila. still comes out cheaper compared to if you have a kit customized. nasa 23k+ painted na daw.

by order ang lowering springs and K emblem nila. not sure kung kailan dadating kung by order basis

magkano kuha mo sa sideskirt and from what kasa did you order from? yung pinag-tanongan ko nung nagpa-1st PMS ko eh sa StarBright bodykits ako pinapunta. nakita ko kits nila for the Picanto and it wasn't really impressive. mas gugustuhin ko kumuha ng OEM skirts and NEFD kits from Genuine..

I got it from Kia North EDSA. I gave them the part number and it took almost 1 week to arrive. Mahal nga lang kasi kasa and hindi pa painted yung kinuha nila.12k bigay nila sa akin sa side skirt. Regarding sa k-emblem, pwede mag pa order sa genuine car accessories? Ok ung NEFD na kit at cheaper sa genuine. Try ko maginquire for other parts s genuine para makamura. Thanks sa mga info hive!
