*praetor91313.. I think you got the 1st gen carnival/sedona... The all new kia carnival is the 2nd gen.

Thanks sir! Got our Carnival LX LWB na, notice ko lang fixed na yung 2nd row seats, is there an option to have the sliding type 2nd row seats. My in-laws got the same LX LWB early last year, and they have almost all the options of the EX sans the electronic doors which for me is unimportant. Now the new LX doesn't have a rear A/C Control at the back, no 2nd glove compartment and the second row seats don't have the sliding option.... tsk! tsk! I should've reviewed the specs more clearly, I took for granted na pareho pa rin

Yep.. Iba na specs ng Carnival na LX. Problem with Columbian Motors inniba nila ang specs without informing the dealers properly.. Ang hindi ko lang alam kung wala talaga silang control since imported ang mga unit natin from Korea.

I think this will hold true to all the units of Kia

good afternoon guys. reading thru this thread is very enlightening and it's making me re-think whether to go for an innova g or the carnival. in your opinion which carnival model lx or ex is equal to the innova g or v in all aspects? any kia agents/dealers here? i would appreciate if you can text me at 09279136978 or email me at winn1971*yahoo.com for an offer. assuming i get a good deal, would prefer to get a unit either from sucat or sn fernando showroom. what do you recon would kia offer for my 2001 mitsu advy 2.0gas GLX limited edition model with just under 114t kms on the odo? i'm willing to trade it in just to get my hands to the carnival (or carens). I'd like an a/t version so my wife could also drive it. a 7-seater is bare minimum. can't wait to see & try both the swb & the lwb versions.
haven't visited any showroom yet but this thread is more than convincing.
shall wait for your update. but pls don't take it too long coz i've to make up my mind real soon and toyota is texting me endlessly.

btw, the powerplant is a 2.9L crdi engine, right? turbocharged? what's the normal FC for city and highway if it's lightly loaded and when it's fully loaded.

No offense to innova owner.. You cannot compare the innova and the carnival. Iba ang category nila. Even the V variant is no match in terms of features for the EX variant ng Carnival. IMHO, mas malakas ang 2.9L ng carnival sa 2.5 D4D ng toyota. Mas maluwag ang carnival sa innova.

sir how would you compare the fc of both brands? kung off lang yung carnival by a liter or so, then it's definitely a pick for me. tia.

Hello Tsikoters. I have a Feb 09 Carnival LWB EX. I have a problem with my radio presets being erased each time I shutdown the engine. The radio is the clarion stock. Each time I start the engine all the presets are gone and I am stuck with the dreaded 87.5 radio station when I turn on the radio. The wierd thing is that the clock on the dash doesn't reset. Does any one else have this problem? How did you fix it?

    Thanks and peace to all

Hello there. Let me thank everyone for this very helpful thread. After much deliberation and test drives, we have finally ordered a red Carnival EX SWB. We also looked at the starex but it was a bit too big, the Montero and Fortuner were nice looking but a bit too small. The carnival was just right and we were impressed by the amenities as well as ride comfort. We had some fears on durability but I was reassured by the positive experience that you guys had. Hopefully we will also have a good time with the carnival. Happy driving and God bless everyone!

Ako din matagal ng interested in getting a Carnival, and with our third child on the way, eto na yata ang best car for our needs.

Question ko lang, since my current ride is a Pajero, how is its ground clearance compared to let's say a sedan, the Starex, Innova and my Pajero FM? Eto kasi ang major concern ko since may peace of mind ako pag ganitong tag-ulan with my Pajero.

BTW, I saw an ad for a used Carnival EX for only P1.2M 14th km. Is this a good deal?

medyo sensitive lang ang mga sliding door so better have it check kapag nag loko which can be easily be corrected.

Hi Isuzoom. yes I had programmed all 3 FM bands (18 stations) and it would be reset the next time I switched on the engine. After a while I didnt bother setting all three bands and just did the first band of 6 stations and sure enough each time the memory is erased.

Thanks Sir Isuzoom. We just got our Carnival a few days ago and we are really having a good time with it.the kids are having a blast with all the power features and the DVD player we had installed. I just want to ask if anyone can suggest where to have leather seat covers installed? Meron back nagpa leather na among the carnival owners? What was your experience? And how much did it cost? Would appreciate if someone can post pics also. Thanks!
