Leatherette only. From Seatmate. Cost me P7,500 through the casa.
Good morning guys. I, together with my wife & kids test drove both the carens and carnival last saturday courtesy of kia greenhills (thanks Ms. Anne). I must say very impressed ako sa overall aesthetics and performance of both vehicles. medyo nasisikipan lng c esmi at mga bata sa carens due to very limited cargo space. kung siguro katulad sya ng carnival na may swb at lwb options we would definitely have opted for the latter.
so in the end it's carnival swb. so hopefully my in-house trade-in & loan application gets approved plus the color we want gets available really soon. excited na akong maiuwi e, kaso yung kulay na type nmin di daw available so i-check pa nila dis week kung meron sa planta or kung may shipment na parating. we chose a silver ex a/t swb.
wish me luck guys and thank you for this wonderful thread. it really opened my eyes.
btw, any idea kung vgt din ang turbo ng carnival like the carens?
thank you and more power.
binanggit ng SA ko na WGT daw not VGT. hmmm... i've done a bit of research sa internet. i don't see any difference sa "wgt" per se versus a normal turbo with either an internal or external wastegate. any idea if there's anything "special" about kia's wgt? bakit kaya tinawag nilang wgt instead of simply saying turbocharged intercooled engine? medyo curious lang ako why use a fancy term kung wala syang kaibahan sa typical turbocharged engine plying our roads.
Kung walang wgt yung a/t variant sir what type could it be? i'm sure i saw a turbo in both the lx & ex na a/t. there's even a very narrow (small) intercooler behind the front grill. 4speed yung lx at 5speed yung ex and both are powered by a 2.9 crdi turbocharged engine.
Hi guys,
I would just like you guys to be aware.. baka sa inyo din mangyari. My steering wheel is emitting some weird noise. I brought it in Kia Pasay and they informed me that this is the 2nd unit they had encountered with the same problem.
Yung 1st unit, hindi nila na troubleshoot since the owner decided to reschedule the unit. So yung unit ko ang tinignan nila.. Unforturnately, the technicians in Kia Pasay was not able to locate the real cause of the problem. They asked help from a Korean Mechanic to help diagnose the problem. They found a problem in the oil seal (I forgot the exact term) which is part of the steering column.
So ayun pull out muna ang unit, until the parts are available.
gud am mga peeps. just signed up for a crdi carnival swb ex a/t and hopefully will be driving it out of the showroom any day now. inaantay lng nila delivery from columbia.
just want to know kung may carnival group na aside from this forum. will be interested to join.
this forum helped us a lot in deciding which brand and vehicle to acquire.
thank you so much to everyone!![]()
buong assembly ang papalitan since the oil seal cannot be replaced separately. btw, sinabay ko na din yung disc rotor ko.. warp na..![]()
hello peeps. i finally drove my carnival off the casa late afternoon yesterday. ang lufet! can't wait for weekend and see how this new baby performs on a long drive to manaoag.
we have a kia carnival LX AT SWB for a year now... no problem as far as engine performance is concerned but we have changed the fuel filter which costs 6,700 PHp by the way. then we changed tires already, hankook tires, 6000+ a piece.. mileage is 32,000 km.. (is there such thing as kilometrage? as in kilometers coz mileage should be in miles, hmmm... right?) the clarion head unit sucks! it won't play my cd's anymore.. i always get an error message... i always drive this car hard...
I went to Shang yesterday and may naka-display na Carens and it looked new pero naka-sulat sa plate Kia Pre-owned.
So I asked the salesman kung meron silang Carnival and yes, meron silang 3 units. 1 SWB and 2 LWB- all 2008 models. The price of the LX is P1,350,000. yung isa 11t km (red) and yung isa 9th km (black). Executive car daw ng kia and registered to Columbia. Bakit parang ang dami yatang executive cars ng Kia?
mga peeps, just crossed 1t km yesterday. my average FC is around 11.3 to 11.7 ltrs/100kms for mostly highway & minimal city route. is this normal? what's the best FC for our carnival? thanks.
