i think sinadya ng mga SA na hindi sabihin yung mga removed features, 2 weeks before we bought our unit, i was in the office of Kia Libis, naka post sa cork board yung mga changes sa 2008 units nila, that's where i found the changes for the carens, it came from columbian motors, konti nga lang yung changes na nandun sa memo eh, kaya nagulat ako na ang dami palang inalis.

gud pm! bout dun sa changes... sad to say wr not inform by our supervisor bout those changes kaya wla kmi kaalam alam na may nagbago n pala . d2 ako sa net kumukuha ksi ng extra info na d ko nakukuha sa office so d2 ko lan nalaman! so awhile ago i called my boss y nga ganun may nagbago n pala d pa snsbi samin... he explained it to me na it was jst minor acc un mga tinangal and para din daw un sa mga bibili ksi if d tinangal un masmalaki un increase dun sa unit price... bad thing nga lan d snsbi samin para naman sna nasbi namin sa costumer namin... im very very sorry bout that... sino nga pala un sales executive na nag assist sau wavecxs? again wr sorry!

Sir ace8tan, what other changes that we havent posted here but other future buyers should know about??? Maybe its fair naman to inform them para later on walang sisihan kung bakit kulang ng ganito and ganito. Thanks!!!

mqavila, we're planning to get leatherette covers na lang. yung white covers that came with her are getting dirty. mahirap pa naman ikabit yung covers sa 3rd row... the beige is really nice pero medyo mahirap alagaan. mabuti na lang at natuturuan ko na daughter ko! hehe...

am i correct that i read in the newspapers na kia and hyundai have a 5 year warranty, which is better than the japanese's 3 year warranty?

and is there no version that has ABS? coz it helped avoid collisions so many times na.

salamat sa comment ace8tan. tingin ko unfair pa din na magtanggal ng kahit feature kahit minor (lalo na pag di man lang na inform yung buyer). pero i understand your (and your boss') explanation from a business perspective. we did pay the same amount as the others, right? so everybody should get the same thing. sa ibang brands nag a-add ng features sa kia... parang hindi ganun.

oh well.. medyo off-topic na. this is just a minor complain. to those reading this thread, the carens is still a good, value-for-money family car for sure.

Sino kaya meron inform sa lahat ng available accesories ng carens with price. Sir ace8tan, do you have any info. It was frustating to hear the stuff taken from the '07 model. Kaya dagdagan ko nalang 'yong akin ng accesories.

if your conduction sticker start with EA, that means you have all the accessories mentioned above. But if your conduction sticker start with EB that means all extra accessories deleted. May be this is the second batch Columbia imported form Korea.
It is sad to say that Columbia is more interested on profit than giving customer satisfaction.Its very unfortunate that the carens is just in the introductory phase in Phils.and has not been widely accepted among us Filipino. and they deleted these accessories . AS a buyer what is your reaction.

i dont think that the did this jst for profit... i think dahil ito sa humihinang dollar.... jst to maintain the price they cut the extra accesories off erm nag increase pala ng 10k pero cgro if they didnt do that masmataas pa increase... thats jst my opinion!

d lang naman Phils. ang affected dun sa mga deletions. punta kayo sa www.kia-forums.com and you will see it's KIA who deleted these items kasi their models have the same deletions. and all vehicles are imported from KOREA. i guess some weird business strategy from KIA???...

sir ace8tan, I bought my carens without even talking to any sales person. I was convince by this thread.

I didn't even test drive any, so far carens did not dissapoint me with its performance and it met the needs of my family with small kids.

As to the minor changes of model '08, I was not really affected because the buttom line is overall my carens is performed good...hopefully for a long time.

I am not happy with the way they promote their carens, just like the free tint.
Yes the tint is free but pre installed in your unit. The shade is light gray where I dont like the shade. I have to shell out another expense just to have it retinted unlike with other brand they will ask for your preferred shade before they installed the tint. For sure the free tint is added to the unit price, why not made the price cheaper instead of giving out this kind of promo. I hope my suggestion will improve your marketing stragedy. thanks

Sir Magnusthegreat, The taillamp cover chrome is around PHP 2,700, according to my dealer yung mga accessories na available pa lang for carens are the chromes for Head lamp, Tail lamp, door handle and side mirror according sa kanilang supplier.

With regards to the pix of the side mirror hindi ko pa nacapture nasa work na kasi ako and I forgot to bring my camera. Yung side mirror cover chrome eh hindi talaga fit for the whole side mirror medyo bitin parang miniskirt, ganun daw talaga design pero OK na rin.

Man, I also saw those cargo liners on the net. Wish that becomes available here once I have my Carens. It would be a great way to keep the back nice and neat (I can't imagine placing wet groceries or what-not on the back without any lining!! Although I guess I can use a blanket or something for the meantime)...

To top it all off, I saw it up close and personal at Kia Sucat. And, I've almost convinced my wife on that... Her only condition was for me to let her fold back the 2nd row seats to make a make-shift bed/play area for the kids and for me to let her place a duvet (sosy name for a thin comforter) over that area. She's really looking forward to having the kids back there with her with me being the unfortunate one driving. Hahahahahaha!

paktay na! i'm the usual culprit!

there was one time nga during the xmas holidays when we were going back home to sta. rosa and traffic was extremely heavy southbound along slex. my wife and daughter slept the whole trip at the back with both the 2nd and 3rd row seats folded. tama wife mo about the comforter pero advise ko lang yung medyo makapal na lang gamitin niyo at medyo matigas ang mga likod ng seats. tinitignan ko nga sila at inggit nga ako, parang ang sarap tulugan din!
