You're right, it might have been slightly more understandable if they didn't have a price increase. I would think that together with a price increase, they would either maintain the current offerings (in terms of accessories and trims) or actually add more features.
I guess Kia discovered that its Carens really doesnt have any real competitors in its price range and in its category, except for the Innova. And, they're taking advantage of that knowledge...
OR, if I want to be optimistic about it, it's also possible that the costs are increasing and by trying its best to maintain its prices, Kia has to slightly increase its price and take away some minor features...
