Sa Marcos highway ko kinuha yung sakin since it's a bicycle away lang samin at convenient. Marami ngang lalabas na pickup maybe this year.. pero hindi ko na rin naintay.. and since 2013 lang naman ito nilabas dito sa Pinas (2012 on other countries).. bago bago pa rin at matagal-tagal pa ito papalitan haha. Na surprised ako sa feature na powered folding side mirrors.. akala ko hindi kasama yun sa LS haha. At natuwa ako sa Fuel economy.. sa laki at bigat neto ang tipid pa rin sa gas. Although I am not the most efficient driver.. I am happy with the power/economy ratio na nakukuha ko.

Ang alam ko yang rustproof is done before the vehicle is released. Wala pa akong pina rustproof na vehicle namin. Baka undercoat ang iniisip mo kasi yan ung pinapa spray at an added cost. Or baka naman "extra" rustproof yan na pampadami sa "freebies". Yun tipong kunwari ipapa rustproof pero hindi naman pala kasi rustproofed na.hehe

If in a very impossible timing, that the new Hilux will be released mid of this month, at makaka test drive agad ng unit, baka mag Toyota kami. Kaso, mukhang malabo talaga, well malabo talaga! Hahahah.

After trying the full tank method in my Dmax, I was impressed! Ang nakalagay sa ave FC is 10 kms/liter. Ang full tank method is 11.2++ kms/liter. Not bad for a 6+ yr old city driven vehicle. Mas matipid kaysa sa 2.5 D4D SG namin na 8.++ kms/liter. Pero A/T naman kasi un. With the gas prices now, ang total na naipapalagay ko sa Dmax ay less than 1.2k pesos ata. I go to Unioil Regalado, Fairview and their diesel is 27.05/liter.

*bugoys: I didn't avail the undercoat in the dealer. Instead, when I had that roller lid installed in Carryboy before, I also got their rubberized spray on for the bed and undercoat.

O yeah, that's impressive. You say you're using 15w40 oil right? Hmm, it seems I need to clean the egr na talaga. My hunch for a poor fuel consumption are the oil (too thick 15w-40?), air cleaner (used the Isuzu econo parts not the oem, I noticed that the elements/fins is placed closely to each other, thus maybe, just maybe there's somehow an air flow restriction, egr needs cleaning. The first two was the recently changed part after the oci, kaya thats my top guess kung bakit nag decline ang fc ko.

Mahirap maging oc sa sasakyan! Went to Bataan last weekend, my fc is 8.1km/l, after the trip it went to 8.8km/l, given it would go up because of hw driving, I was expecting more, hoping to reach 2 digits, kaso wala pa din. Hinataw ko nalang sa inis ko. Hahahah.

Though that 2.5 vnt is really a killer! Hinde ko na pinatulan yung Fort na bago after reaching 140kph, safety issue na din because of medyo manipis na tread na, after that balik 100 na ulit ako. Hahahah

*bugoys: Yup, 15w40 but ung mineral. Ayaw kasi ng engine ko ung 5w40 ng Motul, sumisinok ung tensioner, so between 110k to 115k kms, pinalitan nila ng 15w40. Came 115k PMS, 15w40 mineral nalang ulit pinalagay ko para pagdating ng 120k km PMS, I might try Delo 400.

Yes, try mo munang palinis EGR mo and see if it will make any difference in your FC. Kasi ganyan ung akin noong nakaailaw ung CEL then sobrang traffic sa Fairview dahil closed ung Regalado. Then nung nawala and nabuksan na din ung Regalado, lumuwag na ang traffic. After that, umabot na ulit ng 10 kms/liter ang FC reading ko sa dash. Then naisip kong icompute manually when I filled up, 11+ kms/liter ang result so mas mataas pa pala.

The rest like air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, OEM lahat. Noong sa Speedyfix ako pumupunta, Vic ang nilalagay nila.

Badtrip talaga pag nakikita mong mababa ang FC reading lalo kung long distance. But there might be something wrong with wrong engine or something is restricting it. Noong nasa 9.x ang FC reading ko sa dash, when I brought it to Clark, umabot ng 11 ata un.

I am not surprised kung medyo challenging na makipag sabayan sa D4D na VNT sa 140 kph. Kung ung SG ko nga na 102 hp kaya makipag sabayan sa 140, paano pa kaya ung mas mataas na hp & torque figures. Actually pag nakipag habulan ka sa Fort, halos sabay lang kayo niyan depende nalang kung saan naka set ang speed limiter niya. Kung nasa 180 or 185 kph, ilang cars lang ang pagitan niyo.

But our Dmax is still no slouch. Umuwi ako minsan and may Innova. Ang bilis niya sa till 80 kph kaso wala talaga, hindi niya kaya makipag sabayan once naka momentum na ako. From 100 to 120, malayo na ako. Ako lang mag isa noon, and by the looks of it, siya lang ang sakay so habulan kami. Pag asa lang niya is pag bumagal ang traffic. Then may Fort V din akong nakasabay, hindi ko siya maunahan kaso di din niya ako malayuan. Ung Xtrail ang hindi ko mahabol, ang bilis mag accelerate pero pag steady na takbo, dahan dahan din ako nakakalapit. Sometimes ini exercise din natin ang engine and hinahanap din natin ang konting thrill.hehe

Sana makahanap ka ng naglilinis ng EGR sa place niyo. Madali lang naman siyang linisin pero ung friend ko, may mga ginamit siyang mga panlinis na liquid. You can bring it to Central Diesel, medyo pricey nga lang. And ung oil, malaking factor din yan.

As to the Hiace, kung UV Express ung nakita mo, most likely that was a Commuter or GL Grandia. Napakayaman naman nun kung gagamitin niyang UV Express ang van that costs almost 2M.hehe Actually kahit ung GL Grandia, medyo mahal na un but I saw one plying in Fairview. Gulat nga ako.

Iisa lang ang engine ng Hiace across the broad, from the cheapest which is the Commuter to the most expensive which is the Super Grandia leather. They all have the 2.5 D4D non VNT having 102 hp and some 260 Nm of torque. Pero maaasar ka talaga pag binubuntutan ka lang niya pag 120 to 140 ang takbo mo or pag nasa uphill or winding road ka kasi kayang kaya niya talagang humabol. Wag ka lang magpatakbo ng more than 140 kph, tatabihan ka lang niyan.hehe Regardless kung puno yan or hindi, sasabay yan. Pansinin mo ung Commuter na UV Express, ang bilis sumibat.

Pero sa mga SG owners, medyo mas ingat sila lalo pag naka upo ang amo sa capt seat.hehe

There's a gas station here, that cleans egr etc. I think 900 ata. Mga more than 1 yr. ko na hinde napapalinis din yung egr eh.

Btw, I always forgot to ask you guys, what's your rpm on 100kph? Mine is at 2050-2100 * 5th gear.
