Hindi ba dapat 3SM ang battery with that kind of big engine?

2Sm talaga ang stock battery for Dmax but you can use 3SM.

Mas mataas na rating ng Delo Gold Ultra, CJ-rated na siya so better than the old Delo Gold multigrade. Later on ma-pha-pahesout din yan gold multigrade kasi may gold ultra na.

usually it would end up using 8 liters.... 7 liters is just up to the mark of the dipstick whre it would indicate its full but once you crank the engine and check the oil level after some several minutes... makikita mo na kulang parin ang oil... so, you would end up ading abit more, around half a liter...

Last night I noticed that the engine is kinda limping and I had to press the gas pedal a bit harder to go faster. It felt like it was hesitating to go faster or accelerate. Then when I got home and parking the car, it suddenly jerked as if the engine restarted then voila, the MIL is there. I checked this morning and the light was still there but it was gone when I was on my way to the dealer.

I talked to my SA and he said they will check it in the computer and it's possible that they will replace the SCV depending on the result of the test. EGR might go in the picture too. I am still waiting for their call. I only gas up at Shell and there are only 3 stations or locations that I go. I don't use the V Power as well. I guess no matter how careful we are, it would just take time before those parts would finally conk out due to our dirty fuel.

Its odometer reading now is 89950 kms. Ganoon ba tlaga kabilis masira ang SCV ? Tingin ko kasi ang minomonitor ng MIL is the SCV of the car.

These posts are still very fresh to me, as fresh as the newly replaced SCV, if they really put a new one, that they put in my truck when my SCV gave up last month with a 57,880 kilometer reading. I used the vehicle this morning and it was still running well, not until... When I started the car coz I have to go somewhere and with a kilometer reading of 60,500 kms, f*ck the duck, the MIL lit! I didn't notice any power loss or whatsoever but I feel that it runs a bit rougher. After 45 kms, the MIL never went away anymore. I have to bring it to the dealer on Monday again for evaluation and f*cking hopefully, it's not the f*cking SCV or EGR that got busted, especially that SCV where I have spent 7k for that and it hasn't even reached 3k kilometers, it lit again.

My truck is due for 60k km check up so hopefully it just needs a new fuel filter or something. What a way to add another expense in this very expensive season.hehe

They quoted me 18k pesos!! sabi ko wag muna palitan hayaan lng muna. So I guess ok naman lahat.

^ Sir, as much as I wanna help you with your inquiry, your guess is just as good as mine.hehe I'll just bring it to the dealer and let them handle it coz I am clueless as kid. Sir hinDMax will be the best person who could answer those technical stuff. What happened to him, by the way? How come he didn't return anymore? Is he still banned?

With regards to the MIL, my truck is currently in the dealer and I opted to leave it there until they figure out what caused the problem. Even my SA was shocked as to why the MIL lit again considering it was just a little more than a month ago when they replaced its SCV. Like what you've said about the EGR, my SA told that to me too. He quoted it at 18k and the bad news is, he told me that they don't currently have a stock of EGR. I don't really mind as of the moment that they don't have stock but what I mind is that it cost a freaking 18k!!!hehe I have decided to have it serviced since a few hundred kilometers to go and it's due for its 60k kilometers and the quote is already 13k. So imagine 13k plus 18k, that's a whopping 31k!. That's really a Merry Christmas to me.hehe The good side is, if there is any consolation, if and only if it's the SCV that needs replacing, he could put it under warranty since they have this 3 month warranty period that I wasn't aware of, he said that I "might" not pay anything for the replacement. I am really praying to the heavens for that one.

I am still waiting for their feedback since this morning but they haven't called yet. Now I am currently thinking on our next car purchase whether to just buy another gas fed vehicle considering of what is happening. Our 01 Honda Civic is still running strong, more than 160k kms already, never been overhauled, fuel filter only replaced 2x and the best thing is the CEL or Check Engine Light only lit once. But of course, gasoline is cleaner than diesel.

I will know what is in store for me tomorrow and fingers crossed, it will be a good one.

Sir HUMANHORDE, regarding your inquiry about the bulb in the glove box, can't you just buy one in an auto shop? Though the bulb in my glove box is not yet busted, both of my headlights got busted last week with 1 day apart and I just bought those bulbs in one of the shops along the line of auto shops along Commonwealth Avenue. I just showed them the bulb and they gave me a new one. They gave me a different brand though but so far so good and no problems considering I was even the one who removed and installed them.

So if I was able to that with the headlights, wouldn't it be the case for the bulb in the glove box too?

Meron sila nakalagay doon na THUBAN GL4, pero ang alam kong kailangan based on the car manual is GL5 type ng gear oil dapat, and NOT the GL4 type. Thanks

sir usually pag naka AT tranny ang gagamit ay ATF not gear oil, either Dexron or Mercon ang rating. Maybe the gear oil was used sa rear Differential mo. Try to check you owners manual on what the recommended oil is needed on the tranny.

Just an update with my post:

I called my SA this afternoon and he told me that it's indeed the EGR that needs replacing. He said that is the result of their computer analysis. But they don't have stock right now and he's not sure when there will be one. If we order, he said it might take 3 months to arrive. So he will inform me again next year if they have one in stock already. I am happy coz I don't need to spend 31k pesos for both EGR replacement and 60k km check up but I am sad and so disappointed that my SCV and EGR gave up at an early stage. At 60k kms, that is quite young and early to replace such parts considering I don't abuse the vehicle, I choose where I gas up, it's used 98% percent of the time in the city.

I must admit that it's not really giving me a good impression right now. Add to the injury, the SA told me that I could still use the vehicle but he doesn't recommend it to use in long distance driving such as out of town trips as the engine might suddenly shut down at high speed so it's very dangerous but he also said that he knows some people where their car's EGR lit up but they still brought it out of town without any problems. So now I have a truck that I couldn't use to drive in far places though we don't have plans in going out of town using the cars this holidays.

I wish my case is like with you, sir HUMANHORDE, where the MIL just went away.
