For the CRDi VGT owners, diba FWD ang SF, i was thinking, pagpalitin yung front and rear tires since mas napupudpod siguro yung front since sya yung drive and steering.

Whatcha think? Is this a sound idea? Is there anyone who tried this before?

Minsan kasi umiiyak yung gulong pag sharp cornering around 120kmh+ altho i don't lose control, i don't like the sound because i know that's it's a sign that the rubber is not sticking to the road the way i want it to. Is that normal or pudpod na yung gulong?

    TIA

Your idea is called tire rotation, do you rotate your tires? You're supposed to do that about every 10,000km so that the tires wear properly between the front and the rear tires.

Redorange: So my idea is okay sir? So I should proceed with it? About tire rotation, i haven't done that before.

Is it just a straight swap? like:

Front Left Tire -> Rear Left Tire
Front Right Tire -> Rear Right Tire

Rear Right Tire -> Front Right Tire
Rear Left Tire -> Front Left Tire.

    Yun lang po sir?

    TIA

HOrsepower, I think its the opposite sides. FrontLeft goes to RearRight,FrontRight goes RearLeft . Thats if your not considering the sparetire as part of the rotation. Parang nag-ekes yung tires.

I think wala naman problem don.

It will also tell you how to rotate the tires. I rotate my tires excluding the spare tire. Make sure to balance your tires when rotating especially when you do an 'x' rotation. Experience ko kasi kapag nag rotate ako at hindi ko na balance ang tires, nanginginig manibela at high speed which indicates out of balance tires.

Mine kasi baka this week pa i-cash settlement ng nakaaksidente. Anyway, nakuha ba yung tri-color shades ng superior red?

Minero: diba balanced na yung tires natin? so kailangan syang i-balance ulit based on where i'll install it?

and BTW, is this tire rotation thing for FWD cars only?

    TIA

OK naman yung pagka-paint. Mukhang brand new uli Santa Fe ko.
Medyo mabagal yung Standard Insurance mag approve kaya nainis talaga ako.

Good to hear na balik sa dati SF mo. Sana ganun din SF ko. Since TPL lang insurance nila, babayaran nila lahat gastos. Insurance ko Generali. Mabilis sila magaprove.

Horsepower, during the course of time, nawawala balanced ng tires dahil sa lubak at kain ng gulong. Tire rotation is for both FWD and RWD. You do this para tumagal tires. Usually the front tires, whether FWD or RWD, ang mabilis mapudpod. So by doing tire rotation, the front tires go to the back and vice-versa, na e-extend and life ng mga tires.

Sa J.P. Wheels...Along President Ave., BF Homes Paranaque.

FWD or AWD kailangan i-rotate ang tires according to the manual. This is presumably for the tires to wear evenly. I usually balance the wheels that go to the front para maayos ang takbo. Any service station can do the rotating and wheel balancing.

It should be every other oil change or 10000km that the tires are rotated. It should also be part of the PMS that you guys are paying for when you visit the dealer.
