Question po about the Santa Fe CRDi:

    1. Do we really need to do the 1-minute engine idle before turn off routine to protect the Turbocharger? Sales Exec said it's not needed but of course we know that their department is selling not really technical stuff so here I am asking those in the know. :D

    2. Up to how many KMs is the break-in period of the engine? Right now it's not run at more than 80kph usually 65-70 lang.

Many thanks again to Sir Clavel3699 for the very nice Sales Exec.

We got Free 3yrs LTO etc, and the best deal in the market. For future buyers, PM me and I'll refer you to her :-).

how do you compute for the fule consumption/km? tnx!

To compute KM/L start w/ a full tank and take the Kilometers travelled and divide it by the number of Liters you need to fill up to full tank again w/ o topping off.

Unless you have a turbo timer not idling it can cause damage to your turbo.

Your break in period and the proper way to break in a vehicle should be in your manual.

Modern turbochargers do not necessarily need that though slowing down a few kilometers / minutes before you stop may prolong the life not only of your turbo but your entire engine as well.

For the break-in of modern vehicles, it is ok to push it past 100kph. What is important is that you DO NOT STAY AT ONE SPEED CONSTANTLY.

    From 1010tires.com

    Offset

The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle.

    Hope this helps!

Nabasa ko sa brochure na self levelling yung rear suspension. Tama ba? Air suspension ba ito ala Ford Expedition or hydraulic ala Benz?

Yes, it's the 2007, the 2006 looks like a giant Tucson.

CR usually indicates the year that it is first registered here in the Phil, that is why even surplus vehicles even old ones are reflected as later models (later years)...
