Brought it to EROD and they change the Air filter ok na uli.
I think the sales agent should warn all the buyers para ma adjust kaagad yong tire pressure.
Good day Sir Vedder and Sir Maxvel! Sinakay po ang mga yan sa barko and in order for the car to endure turbulence (rough seas) during the trip, the tires have to be increased. I think this is just one of the reasons why...
But what the dealer should do before handing over the cars is that they should decreased the tire pressure! Kahit po ako noon yun ang sinabi ko sa dealer when I got my unit but then again, ako pa rin ang nagpabawas na lang ng pressure sa gasoline station.
Yes Maam LR, Sirs Vedder and Maxvel. I had the same experience when I got my SF last year. Buti na lang naalala ko yung tip na nakuha ko dito sa thread to have our tire pressure checked before we roll out of the dealership. True enough my tires were over inflated to 50+ psi. They then adjusted it to the recommended 30 psi. As what I have learned in this thread, the manufacturers do this on purpose which is to prevent the tires from deforming during shipment. It takes several weeks or even months before the cars reach the dealers and most of the time stationary lang kaya the tires could become deformed. HARI should establish a safety procedure for the dealers to check the tires before delivery. If an accident happens arising from a tire blowout, it could be a serious liability issue. In the meantime, do it yourself (DIY) muna especially sa mga future SF owners - please take note of this safety pointer. Enjoy the ride and drive safely po.
I think my tires are also over inflated. Napansin ko na parang matigas tires since we got it from the casa. I didn't mind to check the pressures na kasi I assumed dapat tama yun. Well I guess I need to check it para safe.
SOP dapat sa Casa to check tires pressure before releasing the units.
Nung kinuha ko SF last year sa casa i brought pressure gauge pero ng i-check ko naman ay naitama na pala nila.
Ganda ng service sa Hyundai Global
with free diesel pa pag labas ng unit![]()
Hello everyone!
It's been two weeks since we got our 4x2 CRDI VGT Santa Fe, and we haven't had any problems so far.Very quiet, very responsive, very comfortable. Consumption is pegged at 10-12km/L city driving, and 14-16km/L sa highway. Same consumption kahit 6 adults yung nakasakay and maraming bagahe sa likod. Talagang gas saver yung manumatic transmission.
I just wanted to thankEast West Bank Sucat branchand Hyundai Sucat for the super speedy and seamless transaction. I coursed the auto loan through the bank and I got approved in 2 hours at a super great rate! They beat bpifamily (where we hold account) pag dating sa rates! As in. Tapos Hyundai Sucat gave me a great deal on the unit. Standard lang yung freebies ko in terms of the matting, registration, tint, etc, pero may unit discount pa ko and na-libre yung comprehensive insurance ko! They also gave us great deals on the additional accessories we ordered. I got approved on a Monday (4pm) and we were supposed to get the unit Tuesday, pero meron pang pinakabit husband ko so we got the unit at 9am Wednesday. Holy week pa yan a. I guess it pays to know the GM of Hyundai Sucat & the Branch Manager of East West Sucat personally, haha![Thanks Toby Baretto (hyundai) & Boom Cortes (EW)]!
I also wanted to thank everyone here. Also, I wanted to ask where Maspro is exactly, and kung ano yung contact numbers nila. Yun na ba yung best accessories shop for the santa fe, as in dun na yung pinakamura?
Thanks in advance!

Good day Sir Maxvel,
I think I have the same problem kasi kanina sa commonwealth hanggang 60 kph lang at ayaw ng humatak. No power! and nagflash sandali yung check engine light. 14K na po ang odo ko. Ipasok ko sa casa bukas (EROD), May I know how much po total they charged you to fix this - parts and labor? TIA
We filled up the tank first. We noted the number of liters from the halfway mark to full tank then took note of the number of kilometers travelled from full tank until we reached the halfway mark again, tapos yun na, we divided the number of kilometers travelled with the number of liters put in.
Kakalito ba?
It works for us e. Yung iba kasi naming sasakyan walang 1/4 mark, e ito na talaga yung ginagawa namin to determine our consumption dati pa.
Good luck!![]()
fc namin during break-in period, 480km/50 liters= 9.6km/l
highway and city driving. (Baguio-Tarlac-Cabanatuan-Angeles-Makati -Roxas Blvd-Shell Marilao NLEX)
i always end up refilling at 60L to 63L and my km naglalaro sa 490 to 510km. i always make it a habit na i-reset trip meter just after major full tank. so mga 8km/liter nga
hindi ako nag-refill in between.
I have tried using sports mode before after 1 refill. gulat ako nasa kalahati na ng 1st quadrant and I only travelled 65km. mas malakas pa mag-consumo manual mode
usually my full tank meter starts to move down after first 50km.
pero kung i-aanalyze mo sa PMS, i spend like less than 2k for oil/oil filter change sa CRV, while sa SF hindi baba ng 3,500 per PMS using regular oil pa yan and it's still under warranty sa CASA.
here's a comparison also per manual specs
Honda CRV Oil Capacity: 3.8L or 1 Gallon
Hyundai Sta Fe Oil Capacity: 5.9L per oil change
Honda CRV Fuel Tank Capacity: 58L
Hyundai Sta Fe Fuel Tank Capacity: 75L
Honda CRV Coolant Capacity: 5.9L
Hyundai Sta Fe Coolant Capacity: 8.4L
talagang malakas sa gastos and diesel CRDi. most people just equate savings to cheaper diesel pero if you'll compute, tingin ko talaga mas masuwerte pa bumili ng 4x2 3rd Gen CRV.
1L coolant costs about P330 sa Shell. it's a nightmare kung mag-overheat ka sa daan without knowing what. syempre first solution mo eh refill to test kung may leak. pano kung refill ka sa SF at 4.2L coolant (half-water half-coolant) tapos butas pala. P1K plus down the drain sa CRDi engine.
la lang sinasabi ko lang, i'm giving the figures per my observation on driving 2 different SUVs.
kaya gulat ako sa 10-12km/liter nya. even my previous-owned2nd gen Strada na old school L300 Diesel never reached those figures. 2nd gen strada is considered one of the thriftiest vehicles sa'tin kasi ginagamit sa biz.
