    Kakalito ba?

It works for us e. Yung iba kasi naming sasakyan walang 1/4 mark, e ito na talaga yung ginagawa namin to determine our consumption dati pa.

    Good luck!
kakalito nga! but that is kinda complicated way to compute the kms/ liter. you don't need to note the halfway mark to full-tank. but if that's the way u are used to in computing then so be it. kanya-kanyang style lang yan sa computation. although i agree with ringostarr. we also reset trip meter just after major full tank. the kms. run is our basis for the computation before refilling again. after every full-tank, reset ulit trip meter. so far, sa break-in period pa lang kami and naka-9.6 kms/liter na. that is city driving & highway-long trip. we are hoping na titipid pa siya pero so far happy na kami sa fuel consumption niya compared sa starex and ford focus namin. pero sabi nga ni Sir C190, depende rin yata yan sa bigat ng paa ng driver.

We just had our first 1,000 kms. service sa casa. nacharge agad kami ng 4,800! waaaaaaah! libre lang pala labor. mas mahal pala oil ng 4x4 compared sa 4x2. sa ford focus kasi namin libre oil & labor sa 1st 10,000 kms. hmmmm... i wonder tuloy, ganun nga talaga yata kamahal maintenance ng diesel compared sa gas. high maintenance nga talaga diesel. but despite all that, i still love my santa fe.

More than 3k milliage. Once a week ako full tank same station, Petron sa NLEX,Lake Shore. Mixed City and highway driving at about 25% ang city.

A, ok, ang constant nyo yung number of kilometers. After I reach the halfway mark, I refill the tank to full tapos I reset the trip meter. I take note of how many liters yung naipasok pag refill ko from the halfway mark hanggang mapuno. Pagdating ko ng halfway mark ulit, makikita ko na kung gano kahaba yung natakbo ko, and yun yung dinidivide ko with the number of liters na naipasok pag refill. I don't depend on the number of kilometers to know when to fill up, I just depend on the halfway mark sa gas meter. It's more logical for me to keep the number of kilometers travelled as the variable, kasi siya yung nasa numerator, haha! Weird ba? Well, just do what works for you, basta alam ko, ok ang fuel consumption namin.

    Have a fuel-efficient day everyone!

    hindi ako nag-refill in between.

I have tried using sports mode before after 1 refill. gulat ako nasa kalahati na ng 1st quadrant and I only travelled 65km. mas malakas pa mag-consumo manual mode

usually my full tank meter starts to move down after first 50km.

pero kung i-aanalyze mo sa PMS, i spend like less than 2k for oil/oil filter change sa CRV, while sa SF hindi baba ng 3,500 per PMS using regular oil pa yan and it's still under warranty sa CASA.

here's a comparison also per manual specs

Honda CRV Oil Capacity: 3.8L or 1 Gallon
Hyundai Sta Fe Oil Capacity: 5.9L per oil change

Honda CRV Fuel Tank Capacity: 58L
Hyundai Sta Fe Fuel Tank Capacity: 75L

    Honda CRV Coolant Capacity: 5.9L
Hyundai Sta Fe Coolant Capacity: 8.4L

talagang malakas sa gastos and diesel CRDi. most people just equate savings to cheaper diesel pero if you'll compute, tingin ko talaga mas masuwerte pa bumili ng 4x2 3rd Gen CRV.

1L coolant costs about P330 sa Shell. it's a nightmare kung mag-overheat ka sa daan without knowing what. syempre first solution mo eh refill to test kung may leak. pano kung refill ka sa SF at 4.2L coolant (half-water half-coolant) tapos butas pala. P1K plus down the drain sa CRDi engine.

la lang sinasabi ko lang, i'm giving the figures per my observation on driving 2 different SUVs.

kaya gulat ako sa 10-12km/liter nya. even my previous-owned2nd gen Strada na old school L300 Diesel never reached those figures. 2nd gen strada is considered one of the thriftiest vehicles sa'tin kasi ginagamit sa biz.
old blue kaw ba yan? ilang kilometers na SF mo?

    Sir ringostarr,

Pasensya na po, but that's the figure we keep coming up with. And the others here also approximate my figures. Maybe you should also check where you park? Parking under the sun all the time will cause the fuel to evaporate more quickly, thus affecting your consumption.

    Hope this helps!

Halos weekly.
